Really cosy and practical for a weekend stay

Thought parking may be an issue but it was fine - able to park in front of the cottage both evenings

Very compact but well equipped with everything we needed

Noise upstairs from floor boards walking noise

The Cottage was larger than I had expected and was very spacious for one, and would be fine for two. Check in was via a keybox and there was good communication in advance with the property host. Inside, there was lots of storage space for clothes and I liked having a separate hanging area. It was all very clean. I liked having a private outdoor space to sit and the patio is a real suntrap. On the one hot day during my stay the cottage stayed very cool inside. Although the cottage doesn't have a dedicated parking space I was able to park on the street right outside the property. The cottage has limited kitchen facilities (kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge) but there are several places nearby that you can go to get food, including the local nursery which doesn't an excellent breakfast. Although there is a busy pub right opposite the cottage, it was never noisy and I was not disturbed. Overall, this was a relaxing stay in a pretty village and it suited my needs perfectly, being a short distance from Harvington Hall where I was attending the History Festival.
