Beautiful location, very friendly staff and rooms beautifully
appointed. Beds super comfy snd the hotel has been maintained to a high standard.
The windows only opened about 7 inches and the room was extremely warm and stifling despite the fan. I hardly slept. No air came through into the room as it was much cooler outside. I will only visit in the winter months. Nothing is set up for the warmer weather. Also the plug in my bath was not working, someone came up to check and perhaps fix it but it never was repaired so the baths I was looking forward to never happened.

Have stayed here for years - it’s always good -
The decor is somewhat tired with even ripped curtains in the library .
And probably in fact the worst dinner I’ve ever had there .

Lovely surroundings. Nice staff. Very clean. Good breakfast.
Poor food choices in bar. Restaurant not open early part of week. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Bar prices very high.
