The flat is spacious and centrally located, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. There's a big kitchen with everything we needed, and Erik even left us some wine and cheese. There was a double bed and a single bed in the bedroom, plus a double bed in the living room. (And some sofa beds as well, but we didn't use them.)
The double beds had two separate mattresses with a gap in the middle rather than a double mattress. The bathroom wasn't a separate room, but just one side of the (large) bedroom, with no wall or door between it and the rest of the bedroom. So if you are going with a group of friends and concerned about privacy, this may not be the place for you.

Perfect, Wonderful, Spacious, Friendly! This converted large attic in middle Steenwijk was highlight of our road trip. We arrived late but the owner met us, showed us around, told us story of the place, really nice. It is a safe and spacious attic and fully kit apartment with very large rooms and kitchen. All the decor has the right details everywhere you look. Very comfortable for a family.
Cannot park next door as walking street, need to park in nearby free open parking garage few hundred meters away. The place suits a family or people that know each other well, as the open bathroom with main bedroom, which was beautifully done, requires all in group to be close :-) Making the door code work is small challenge for some.
