Citrus Chalet, modern light and airy!

The property is in a great location and it had everything we needed. It was great for our dogs as they were safe and secure in the garden. It was very clean and cosy.

Quiey location with good views of countryside. Self contained unit with all the equipment you need when staying away for a few days or a week or so. Good base for local attractions etc

This place is becoming a regular haunt of mine. I visit this part of Cornwall frequently to see my family. I am so glad I found Citrus Chalet. So convenient to my various relatives and friends. It is a perfect size, with a lovely garden and views across the farmlands to Portreath and St Agnes beacon. The neighbours are friendly and their dogs are adorable. I find the home clean, tidy, and well equipped. Double bed is comfy and the bedding is really really lovely. I'd love to know what it is. Heating is generous and warm. Great table for dining and the kitchen is small but perfect for a few night's cooking. Communication is great. I enjoy that it is on a campsite. There's a community vibe. And Cathy's wonderful art on the walls is a really personal touch. Because I was visiting by myself, I had my uncle round one evening for dinner and it was so lovely to be able to host in a clean, welcoming environment. Honestly, I could happily live here year round! I don't want to risk not being able to book again by singing their praises too much! I already got there too late to lock in my Christmas accommodation for hosting Christmas. :'( Next year!!

I can only scrape around for negative things to say for the sake of a balanced review. I do agree with one reviewer's suggestion that a small table for coffee by the sofas would be great. There's a triangular space where the two sofas join which would be great for a high and slim round table. I used my own upturned cardboard box in the floor space in front of the sofa for my drinks! I wish the shower room window would close. I had a few spiders. The handle seems lower than the frame so the window cannot fit flush. Hopefully the amazing Cathy will be able to find a way to resolve this as we go into winter. Some guests may not adore having to strip their beds. I have a chronic illness which means stripping beds is hard work, but I managed fine on this occasion. I'm sure most people would not mind, especially given the exceptional value of the place. I certainly didn't.

Clean, well equipped. Parking good. Great view at front across countryside. Just a thought that a small coffee table would be nice in front of the sofas (even a fold up sort).

I agree with someone else that the area at the back of the chalets was very untidy which is what you see first as you drive up. My sister and I slept in the bunk beds which was fine for us except the mattresses were not very comfortable and parts of them dug into you.

Excellent accommodation. Clean and modern Chalet. The small added touches made it for us for example milk in the fridge and scones ect giving the extra touch.

The expansive view over open farmland and towards the coast are the draw here, and why I will be retuning. It wasn't warm when we were here, but eating al fresco next time is definitely on the must-do list here. Mostly very clean, minimal and yet well-supplied. Great parking and fairly quiet neighbours.

There were some doggy fur dust bunnies blowing around the floor, caught up on chair legs etc that I had to keep picking up. So, just a bit more detailed hoovering would easily have made this a 10/10. Love that it is doggy friendly though. We were dogless but very animal friendly.

I love the enclosed garden where my dog could freely run. Kitchen well equipped. Lovely shower. Beautiful view.

The bed was a little bit small for a double bed but very comfortable.

Beautiful view, lovely little location & kind understanding, hospitable people. It was just by chance they were there to help us as they didn’t know we were coming. Yet rallied round to get us all of what we needed & more. Was stylish, modern and lovely. Over all a really lovely place to stay and would love to revisit sometime soon. The perfect view & sunsets. Morning sunshine in garden too.

There wasn’t anyone there to let us in at first. Then someone turned up to let us in & that saved us waiting hours. The phone number left for visitors was a strange mixed up system that was no help. The property had a few little things that could be fixed up.
