Very nice and welcoming house

Small but very welcoming and well decorated house. Suitable for a single traveler or a couple. It is on the ground floor and it overlooks a shared garden at the back of the building. The bedroom curtain is quite dark and you sleep well.

I didn't like that in the Booking description it says that sheets and towels are included but when you book, you get an email from the host saying that they are not included and you can bring your own or pay for them separately (250dkk for 3 nights). So I sent an email to ask for confirmation that they were included and never received a response, I just received tons of automated messages asking to pay for any extra services. When I entered the house, I saw that there were some folded sheets and towels on the bed but I didn't understand if they were already included in the price since I never received an answer or if they would have deducted them from my 1500dkk deposit. So I decided to use my own anyway since the price for that service seemed really exaggerated and disproportionate. I don't know if it's the season, or the fact that there is a garden in front of the house (ground floor), but there were spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling at the entrance and dust on the floor. In the end, the host's attitude through automated messages was frustrating and unhelpful.

Good stay overall, but with plenty of room for improvement.

I will start with the good parts. The place, while not very straightforward to get to, was unexpectedly homely and cozy. We loved how comfortable it was and how easy we managed to make ourselves at home. There were clean towels, and we were happy with all the facilities we needed out of the ones on the property's list. The check in/out was also very nice and straightforward.

I have to say the gate at the entrance is very off-putting; it looks shoddy, it creaks when used, and the mesh covering the bottom half scratches your legs as you open or close it. The property itself was cozy and fairly clean, though there are scoff marks on the floors, some walls are spotted/stained, and it was very cold at the time of our arrival - we had to turn up the heating and go back out in the city while it warmed up enough to be comfortable. The fridge reeked heavily of garlic and it was impossible to use for anything except canned drinks. Everything else in it turned disgustingly garlicky. There was only one unused toilet roll available, with a previous one (almost completely finished) having been abandoned on top of the bathroom heater. On top of the lack of toilet rolls and the downright inappropriateness of the one left over, I would consider the latter a potential fire hazard. We bought our own pack of toilet rolls, which we naturally had to leave behind in the property - so we ourselves paid to resupply the host with loo rolls. There was some handsoap and shower gel. No trace of any other toiletries whatsoever. There were only two average-sized towels (considering they should have been prepared for two guests), barely enough to be used after showering, and one more hung in the bathroom - but this third one had black stains over it; it looked far from clean. We both had to use the same respective towel for our showers, as face/hand towels, and for our morning and evening hygiene routines. We were left quite disappointed about this, and by the time we checked out, we had both started feeling a little unclean because we had no choice but to reuse the same towels. In addition, the host sent a few incredibly interpretable messages leading to our arrival.
