What an amazing place!!! Love, love, love!!

This was an amazing cottage in the most idyllic location! It was like being in the family cottage, very welcoming. Well appointed, cozy wood burning fireplace (bring your own wood!) and all the amenities. Three nights was certainly not enough!

Providing bedding for four but towels for 3 is a bit odd. Communication with the booking company is non-existent. Only thing missing from the well appointed kitchen is a proper frying pan & spatula. The cow landmark given was gone. Arriving at night was a challenge. The gate being closed (due to roaming sheep) with buoys on either side is a better landmark.

Cute remote house

The house was very cute, quite big, and well-maintained. It was bigger than it looks in the pictures.

We should have known this, but it was quite far away from anything. If you are looking for a remote location, or if you are OK with driving 30 minutes each way to get to a main road, there is no problem. But in the end, we loved the quietness and the nature, but the commute for the other things we wanted to do was time-consuming. On the other hand, while the price was not cheap, it was less than other places closer to bigger roads.

Lovely bungalow great location.

Excellent bungalow in Elgol .. clean, fresh towels and sheets .. ( thankfully salt and pepper there!). Left a wee basket of coffee/ milk etc. fantastic location for Elgol boat trips to see the puffins/ seals Isle of Canna - bistro down the road 15 mins walk is a must .. great walks around Elgol ..

Shower is not good - enjoyed the baths ! No hairdryer No iron If it’s wet difficult to dry clothes !

The location is quie

The location is at the edge of Skye, far from any tourist spots, with a very inconvenient access road. There are no towels in the house. It is distant from basic shopping points. A long drive on an unsafe road is required. Additionally, the homeowner has claimed damages caused during our stay that did not happen! We have stayed in many places over many years with top guest ratings, and this is something that has never happened to us before.

A memorable stay at Taigh Neilag

The remoteness of Elgol, all facilities were of a good standard and in working order. Access to Loch Coruisk and Canna from the nearby harbour. The Elgol Bistro is within walking distance and well worth a visit with great food and lovely staff.

Only one bathroom for 5 adults was restrictive, however, this was known when booking (not a negative) and I believe reflected in the price compared to other stays on our travels. Some additional cleaning products would have been appreciated given remote location although for a 3 night stay we managed perfectly well with what was left. Beware, the walk down to the harbour is steep, the branches at the gates could be cut a little further back to make parking a high motor home a little easier.

Clean comfortable home with everything you need.

This is a really welcoming homely home. Very clean and comfortable with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. On booking, we were told we'd need to bring our own bath towels which was going to be problematic as we were travelling from overseas and didn't want to lug towels with us, but this was resolved and towels were provided which made everything perfect.

Beautiful location and views.

The view is breathtaking. It is so quiet and the sea is a short walk away with even more spectacular views. The beds were warm and comfortable and you can enjoy a crackling log fire tucked under cozy blankets in the evening.

Nothing negative to say as it was lovely, only down side is we only booked for 2 days and all agreed we could have happily stayed longer. It is not near a big convenience store, but we felt this was just one more thing in the properties favour.

Buen lugar, Nula comunicación

El lugar en el que estaba la casa es precioso y muy especial, además nos tocaron unos días preciosos. La casa en sí, es muy cómoda (nosotras éramos un grupo de 3 personas. También valoramos mucho lo completa de la cocina, teníamos de todo y la amplia mesa para comer que nos motivó a tener largas sobremesas, las que valoramos mucho. Muy bueno contar en el jardín con una mesa y un asiento para disfrutar la vista. La temperatura de la casa muy rica, las camas cómodas y si bien no llegamos a usarlos, vimos que tenían muchos juegos, los que hubieran sido un gran apoyo si nos hubiera tocado mal clima. Las indicaciones para llegar muy claras. Hay que tener cuidado con el camino hacia Elgol que es de una pista y con hartas curvas y hoyos en el pavimento.

La comunicación con la empresa que administra la casa fue NULA, simplemente no existió, salvo por un par de mails automáticos que recibí. En el mail que me mandaron indicaron que debíamos llevar nuestras propias toallas y paños de cocina, lo cual era imposible para nosotras ya que viajamos desde Chile sólo con una maleta de cabina. (Además, me parece insólito pedirle eso a personas que viajan de fuera de Escocia) Escribí 2 veces al alojamiento pidiendo ayuda y nunca obtuve respuesta y una amiga mía que vive en Londres intentó comunicarse con ellos vía telefónica y luego de una serie de SMS le dijeron que sólo podían hablar conmigo, vía telefónica o por SMS siendo que yo estaba viajando sin roaming y tenía acceso sólo a whastapp. Si bien al llegar encontramos una toalla para cada una y 2 paños de cocina, la verdad es que el estrés, el tiempo ocupado en intentar resolver una situación que no debió ocurrir y la ausencia total de comunicación fue muy lamentable y empañó totalmente nuestra experiencia. Nunca me había pasado de no poder comunicarme fluidamente con el alojamiento al que voy.

Super kwatera. Parterowy domek urządzony z wielką dbałością o szczegóły. Wyposażony we wszystkie czego potrzeba podróżnikom. Położony bardzo blisko urokliwej plaży. Doskonałe miejsce na wypady w różne rejony wyspy.

Minusem jest dojazd do niego bardzo wąską i miejscami mocno dziurawą drogą. 23 km od głównej drogi. Ale widoki i wygody rekompensują z nawiązką te niedogodność

Impression de bout du monde, à la point d'une péninsule si peu habitée et à la nature si préservée et sauvage ! Gîte confortable, très bien équipé, décoré avec goût. Très bonne literie.

Il est dommage que les serviettes de toilette et les torchons ne soient pas fournis. Cette prestation devrait être incluse compte tenu du niveau de l'hébergement.
