    I had a wonderful experience in Avci Hotel. The staff were exceptionally nice. There were these wonderful central Asian ladies that accommodated us at breakfast at the breakfast area even if we showed up early as we were going to be late for the bus service if we ate at the usual breakfast time. They were caring and sweet. The room was small but very clean and efficient. No complaints from anything.

    Avcı Palace Hotel is a bit out of the center of the historic peninsula in Istanbul, but convenient to Yanikapı metro station and Aksarsy tram station, so it's easy to get around. The neighborhood is nondescript, with some small restaurants and cafés. There's some street noise, even up on the 6th floor where I stayed, but it was mostly quiet after 10 pm. My room was small but functional, and very clean. Breakfasts were tasty and generous. Staff were very welcoming, though some don't speak much English; when I arrived on an early morning flight, they made sure my room was available as soon as possible. Internet service went out once and the elevator was out of service on a couple of brief occasions.

    For all the people out there I kid you not the rooms are very small and in the exact same price you can get way bigger room size in the center of the city which is Taksim. The pictures of the property are very very misleading . I booked for 5 nights and only stayed 1 night and left due to a cramped size room. The staff at the reception is very very rude and does not help in any way
