Cozy 1 Studio Room - The Residences BGC Taguig

The check in and concierge service was top notch, friendly and professional. Location is perfect, and the bed was a dream to sleep in.

The aircon unit shone a light into the whole room but manageable with a face mask, lol. Ear plugs needed if you're sensitive to traffic noise.

Only one lift (elevator) was working but the security guard kept it under control. The food upstairs was a bit pricey for what it is plus why can’t I order drinks or snacks next to the pool? There’s seating and restaurant but they refuse to serve and kept sending us up stairs. Pool towel was also not available or at least not offered in my 5 nights of stay. Oh, the fridge also wasn’t working but didn’t bother telling anyone. It would be nice to get them check before us checking in or at least warn the guest that it’s not working or not plugged or turned on. It will also be good to provide soap dish. As per photo, the soap just dissolved on the sink counter due to lack of “dish” for soap.

I like the bed. It was very comfortable to sleep on. I also like that the room was very clean and had a flat iron and a full size ironing board. There were also lots of hangers.

This criticism is directed towards The Residences of the Bonifacio Civic Center Tower. The published check in is 2 pm. We arrived at 3 pm and was told the room was not yet ready because the owner did not advise them that we're coming. That's a lousy excuse. Whether there are guests or not, it should be SOP in hotel and lodging business that rooms should be ready at check-in time. We had to come back after an hour to complete our check in. Next is the building's elevator is malfunctioning. It shakes when you ride on the 3rd floor where the concierge is located. We got seriously dizzy a few times because of the shaking elevator car. There's a sign inside that says someting like "Elevator malfunction is rare. But, help comes quickly so don't worry." Come on. Fix it. You could be putting the lives of your guests and residents at risk. Lastly, we were asked to leave a security deposit of P2,000. I didn't have cash on my wallet so I said I had to withdraw downstairs. The concierge staff told me I should leave my passport and would only get it back once I gave them the security deposit. We felt like there's a trust issue already. They had the gall to hold my passport until we came back with the security deposit, when it is they that haven't done their job of ensuring the room was all cleaned up by check in time. We haven't spent one second in the room I fully paid for in advance and yet they put up a trust barrier with this stupid security deposit procedure. And I want to emphasize--no one told us about the jittery elevator.
