Baanrimklong bungalow

We were at Bungalow 10 work kitchen, lounge and bedroom. The terrasse outside was also very convenient with a nice sitting area. We states for one month and enjoyed our stay. The staff was really responsable with our queries Thank you

The furnitures were basic and the couch not very confortable and the kitchen equipment could be a bit better

The bungalow was spacious, well equipped and clean. I also like the layout. The bed was firm but not uncomfortable, and the AC worked well. The shower worked well and the water was warm which is not always a given in Thailand. I never saw the manager (owner?) after my arrival but the woman who cleaned the rooms was lovely and very helpful. I liked that she brought me some watermelon on my first day. It was not too far to walk to the beach, once you cross the highway, about 7 min.

I didn’t like the location and the price was too high for what it was. It is off the main road in the town behind an auto shop and a bar which was often very noisy - one night, I heard music blaring and people shouting until around 4 am. I could also hear traffic noise from the road so it was not always pleasant and relaxing to sit on the patio. The view of the elephants in the camp next door is far from “magical” as one reviewer said - they are chained up in small pens during the day which is animal cruelty and beyond sad. One of the worst things about this place is that I was badly bitten by red fire ants on the front porch and the pain lingered for days. I know it’s the tropics, but I’ve never had that problem in any budget hotel I’ve stayed at. I had made a mistake when I booked this hotel as the place I had chosen is in the same area and has a similar name and appearance but is a far better location, nice an quiet down near the lagoon with a view of the mountains and closer to the beach. Unfortunately I couldn’t change places as this one is nonrefundable and from experience, I know how hard it is to cancel and get a refund from Booking.com when one is unsatisfied.

The aircon was great and the location was excellent with a lot of options for eating out. The bathroom was also a good size and hot water meant a great shower experience.

The bunk beds were terrible with very thin mattresses - not suitable for adults and the tv was very small
