Victoria's Apartment

The apartment was large and spacious. Modernised but in an old building. Situated on the 4th floor (there is an elevator) and on a street corner, the main rooms all had "french windows" and small balconies, which was great for light and looking down onto the bustling streets below. They were all double glazed so quiet at night. The location is very close to Via Roma (and so a lot of the main attractions) and not far to the port.

Dropping off luggage was difficult. You have to double park a car (not a problem in Palermo!) outside the property and then go and find street parking somewhere. We did find some in a less desirable area but in the end opted for garaging the rental car for 3 nights (100 euros) for peace of mind. Having said that, we chose to have a city centre location and thought this might be a problem. We walked or used buses to get around for our stay. Some of the kitchen equipment and utensils needed to be cleaned before being used! This was probably the fault of previous guests but should be checked more closely. We never met the host. We got Whatsapp messages from him but sometimes there was a delay in him responding!

Great location, lovely building

Small kitchen area, wobbly kitchen tap, dining chair seats broken, unable to find coffee pods that fit the coffee machine!

Die Unterkunft lag strategisch sehr gut. Sie war barrierefrei, das Bad war sehr schön, die Küche gut ausgestattet, es gab drei Balkone, insgesamt eine sehr schöne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung.

Man sollte den Wasserhahn in der Küche befestigen und die Stühle im Wohnzimmer austauschen.
