Wow- You will bring back great memories from El Salvador from your stay here. Jose Louis and his wife run a spotless BnB right outside the ex peaceful little town of Apenaca. The hospitality here is second to none and Jose Louis is a very personable and informative host. They serve a very nice breakfast and you will be able to learn so much about the country and the region from both. The 3 bedroom place is about a 10 minute walk into town and there are several good restaurants to choose from nearby. Just book this and it will be as highlight of your time in this wonderful country. Like staying with family.

We stayed with Jose and his wife for 3 days and it was the best experience we had so far in El Salvador. Location is really nice, breakfast super, everything is very clean and Jose and his wife are the best hosts. Highly recommended!!!

Everything was perfect

Jose Luis is a fantastic host. He has a big heart and an even bigger passion for history and hospitality. Staying here felt like visiting family. He is very knowledgeable and loves to educate his guests if they are willing to stick around and listen.  I saw El Salvador through a different set of eyes after my conversations with Jose Luis, and I am so grateful because it provided me with context that I didn't have before. His home looks something like from a fairy tail which overlooks nearby volcanoes and mountains. It's meticulously clean and the fragrance of artisanal soap wafts in the air from room to room.  Support beams and window frames made of wood outline his charming two story abode.  You're greeted every morning by Doris with a "Buen Dia" and deliciously made Salvadorian breakfast.  And his garden is wonderfully manicured and accesses an even larger garden which was once part of a tennis school. You can take a morning stroll without needing to leave the premises. Jose Luis has the means to provide transportation and tour services if he is available and should you need them.  I took advantage of this since it was incredibly convenient to do so.  He's a seemingly well connected guy and may know of others who can accommodate your travel needs if he is unable to do so.

The WiFi on the second floor was not very strong despite having a strong connection.  His router must be on the first floor because I had the best connection for gaming purposes when I was there.
