Seeking a nature fix? This custom built Yurt sits on a platform in a small clearing in the forest. Perfect for a romantic getaway, there are many trails to explore on this 100 acre property. Woodstove (wood included), indoor composting toilet, kitchenette, 12V lighting & USB power included - camping in style.

The space
We are an hour East and North of Toronto. The Yurt is about 1 Km from entrance. in the summer you can drive right to the yurt. In the winter you will hike in about 1 Km. A snowmobile with sled will deliver your gear. Mike will be your contact and you can reach him during your stay by phone or text. The property features many sculpture by the late Canadian artist Bill Lishman. The location is remote and private.
An outdoor screened in area is available in summer for outdoor eating.
* It is very important to note that when we have the yurt open during winter, you will be responsible for feeding the wood stove. Wood is provided. Fire will be lit before you arrive but you must keep adding wood.
Guest access
Many hiking, mountain biking or snowshoeing trails in surrounding forests.
On request and depending on availability, guests may be offered a tour of the unique Lishman earth integrated underground home, featured on many television programs, YouTube videos and Canadian Geographic and Hello Magazine.

Interior decor was not my taste with fake flowers and plants.
I did like the battery string lights.
More directions on how to use propane hot plate and pump water bottle were necessary.

The yurt is very comfortable and well-equipped. The setting is very peaceful. Port Perry is only 10 mins away, for buying food or other necessities. I only wish there were better hikes on the property. I wanted to go for an hour long hike, but the trails would lead me back to the yurt after only 20 minutes of walking.
