Hemel Apartments - Lilac Luxe

Beds were comfy, nice bathroom. Nice addition having tea and coffee provided. It was hot inside the apartment but fans were provided. The apartment was actually a lot bigger than we were expecting, across two floors with a box bedroom with a single bed and a larger bedroom with a double and a single bed in.

Cleaning was questionable in areas, such as behind the chest of drawers in the bedroom. Dirt and dust behind them when went to plug in the fan. Freezer was very frozen inside, unable to use as unable to open the drawers - definitely needs defrosting. It was slightly confusing how to get inside the apartment, had to get help from another resident as the code for the back door didn't seem to work. Would have been nice to have a couple of dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher to be able to be used. The kitchen utensils were dirty and inside the oven was also very dirty.

Apartment was very nicely furnished and is an excellent location for Hemel Hempstead main street access and short walk to the main shops. The host replied back to messages straight away and I wass sent whatsapp messages which were straight forward for key lock pick up and rear door access. Bed was as comfy, excellent shower and bathroom facilities

Not super easy to find the back door after my drop off. Front door code wouldnt work and I think there was a problem with that keypad but someone let me in the only time I tried to use it. Had internet issues but TBF to the contact they sorted them to the best of their ability there and then. Curtains in the lounge were a bit tatty and didnt totally block the evening street lights, very little toilet roll in the bathroom upstairs. It was a hot day and the flat has no aircon so was stupid hot all night.

The property was clean. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The dinning room was lovely. The small details were sweet and there were enough beds to fit a family.

The car park isn’t the easiest to find. They postcode displayed isn’t the correct one and you will end up on the high street and getting a fine…

Space was good and bed not bad. Felt a little bit shabby but reasonablely clean. Bath plug was broken so could not have a bath and the shower wasn’t great. Towels left for use were mismatched and felt cheap. Although tea and coffee were provided there was no milk (not even UHT small cartons that you get in hotels) Told to call for check in .. phone was not answered but then sent a text with details ..further questions took a while to be answered. Would not stay again
