The house was a perfect representation of old meets new with lots of charm and character! It was very well provisioned, with all you need and more in the kitchen, additional chargers for all mobile phones, a smart tv, Alexa’s all around, lots of cleaning supplies, board games (including a Lewis chess board!), books, just everything you might need for your stay and more! There were lots of interesting ornaments around the property giving it a splash of an authentic traditional home, with all we would use in a modern home. We were provided with a coffee machine (including pods), ground beans and french press, teas bags and a lovely basket of Scottish goodies including, porridge, jam, chocolate, biscuits etc.
The location was ideal. It was a short walk from beautiful beaches and the famous Butt of Lewis. There were plenty of places to eat/drink including a quirky cafe. We enjoyed watching the lambs running around the Croft across the road. There were sea views from the property on a clear day and a lovely window at the top of the stairs with a day bed to take in the views. The WiFi was great
and there was good data and reception in the area.
The host was very kind and helpful and which made our stay!
