Fabulous location and lovely rooms

Absolutely nothing everything about this house is perfect for a family stay

The house and the location were perfect for our needs, and the spot itself is beautiful. Looking out at the sheep and lambs in the fields was wonderful. The photos really don't do it justice - it's an exceptionally well finished property, which is nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The kitchen is very nicely fitted out, with plenty of storage space, a fridge-freezer, excellent Neff oven and microwave, integrated dishwasher and lots of crockery, cookware, utensils, sharp knives, chopping boards, etc. The bedrooms are all large, spacious and full of daylight, and the open-plan downstairs area is well laid out and comfortable. The location is completely dark and silent at night - we live in a very quiet village, and it was noticeable even to us. I was using the house as a work base during the day, and the wifi was excellent. The owners very kindly loaned me an extension cable for my laptop, so I could set myself up at the dining table (and look out at the sheep all day!) which was greatly appreciated. Didn't want to leave - we both loved our short stay at 1 Ashdown.

There was nothing at all that we didn't like.

Comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Owners very very helpful and great cafe on site. Had a superb breakfast.

Hard to find in the dark. Would like to see a lighted sign perhaps
