We had an amazing stay at Four Petals Hotel! The place was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The location is perfect and makes it easy to travel to many places. The sea view was absolutely beautiful, and the atmosphere was so relaxing and calm. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We really loved our experience here and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended! ❤️

I like to be very fair with my reviews so please read my pro's and my cons. The owners/hosts are thoughtful, and very kind people. I genuinely felt their calm energy and that was a positive for me. They do their best to accommodate you as well as possible. I had the King bedroom and the King bed is relatively comfortable. The balcony and view are good for one person as a solo traveler. The shower gets very hot so that was awesome. The room size works for a solo traveler. The fan in the room in addition to the AC is very clutch and on the hottest days they do great work together keeping you cool. There are lots of interesting restaurants and food spots up and down the beach and close by. And being across from the beach is great if you want to take advantage. The owner gave me a bottle of water as soon as I came in which was great. The internet/wifi is relatively fast which was very important to me. There is a laundry service close by which is relatively inexpensive and the owner will have your laundry done and include it in your bill which came in handy for me. I really liked the room set up and the curtains so I could choose to open the curtains and have a view or keep them closed and stay cooler. Lots of lights and outlets in the room so another positive. Smart TV option for the room was great so I could watch YouTube TV or Netflix. The room is conveniently located in my opinion there are a lot of restaurants and bars and place to visit around. I think if you want a comfortable place to stay and I would recommend it overall.

This place does not have a sign outside...I don't know why. It makes it difficult to find the first time. Also, this place, I thought, was billed as like a quiet beach spot. You are across from a train, which runs frequently during the day (and shakes the room to some extent) and during my time there was construction and medium loud music and noises which could be heard at various hours, I am a hard sleeper and noise has never bothered me...but that is something to consider. It's not quiet as there is a opening in the bathroom which let's you hear any noise from outside. I was disappointed that there is no mini fridge. Colombo is hot and having to constantly buy cold drinks was a bummer. I also expected to have access to the roof...but it doesn't seem like it was actually available so I was disappointed there as well. There is a mini couch sitting area...that's under the TV which is annoying if I want to watch TV but not sit on my bed. The room has limited amenities, there is a coffee maker, toilet paper, one towel no blanket in the bed. No soap (for the shower), shampoo, toothpaste anything like that. Also I was slightly annoyed at the door lock situation you have to use the key to lock the door from the inside there is no independent lock which is just a mild inconvenience. Keep in mind this place is not close to the main airport so keep that in mind its about 45 minutes away in minimal traffic, over an hour if there is moderate traffic or worse.
