The Shores at Waikoloa ground floor

We're a family of 5, my wife, I and 3 teenagers and enjoyed our stay! Below is a short list of likes: 1. The condo was on the first floor which made in and out access a breeze. 2. speaking of breeze, nice trade winds flow thru the windows which is nice natural a/c! 3. convenient pool and bbq access. 4. parking spot wasn't a dedicated one but there are many guest spots around. 5. quiet area in the community. 6. 15-20 min walk to kings/queens shops or ~5-10 min drive to KTA and Mauna Lani store for groceries. 7. Nearby is a Hilton where if you're staying around new years you can see a fireworks show from the lanai! 8. the Hilton has a luau a few days a week where you can faintly hear the sound of Hawaii music as the sun sets. 9. comfortable beds 10. clean living spaces, kitchen and baths. 11. MaryAnn responded promptly to my questions and I had a minor request about a missing kleenex box and she had one dropped off the next day! MaryAnn and Greg - beautiful condo in paradise!!

Very short dislike list and just nit picking ... 1. towels are a bit old and should be replaced. it may be the humidity which may have affected them. 2. beyond expiration date condiments in cabinets and refrig. we recommend tossing them. 3. ear deafening dyson vacuum which got better the longer you left it on. 4. We wish the twin beds in the guest room were a little bigger (my son's 5' 10") and he says his feet were hanging off the bed. 5. the smaller burner of the front burners on stove would only go low /med heat. MaryAnn said this would be addressed when they're out at the condo. these items are very minor. !

Great location and great value. The apartment was a bit dated and the kitchen could be better equipped, toaster, electric kettle, frying pans were pretty old, but overall it was great . The host was lovely and helpful.

A bit dated but great value for the price. We loved walking but it’s at least a 20 min walk to the beech, which may be an issue for some. Not us though!
