Manderley

This is a perfect location for a seaside holiday in beautiful North Norfolk, with the entrance tucked away yet positioned right on the seafront, 4 minutes walk from a sandy beach at low tide, pebbles at high tide. We were a multigenerational family from Canada, 9 in all, consisting of two grandparents, adult children and their families including two high-spirited three and half year olds and a curious almost crawling ten month old. We arrived by train from a wedding in Cambridge; the station is 6 minutes walk away, with a Tesco right beside it and convenient bus routes including the great Coasthopper. There are endless ice cream parlours, good coffee shops and of course shops for the beach on the main high street, as well as a greengrocer, a butcher, fishmonger and a Sainsbury's Local 2 minutes from the house. We were there in a heat wave, and Max was incredibly helpful, bringing extra fans and finding us a second mattress for the baby. There was always a nice sea breeze from the open windows. The kitchen is well equipped including a washing machine and a French Press for making morning coffees, the living room is comfortably appointed with amazing sea views, and there's a little conservatory/sun room off the kitchen complete with toys, books and puzzles. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms/washrooms on each floor are pleasant and clean. We didn't need parking, but we had several visitors who did, and found free parking on the clifftop, just near a little children's playground. On the hottest days, we discovered St Peters Church nearby, which has a quiet space with toys and books for children while parents can rest and contemplate the beautiful interior. Gorgeous sunsets, clifftop walks, and just 15 mins walk from the Reef Recreation Centre. Highly recommended!

We loved everything! The entrance is through a local pub, and I thought it might be noisy, but we never heard more than the sounds of the sea. Communication with Max was great; we would return in a heartbeat. We wish we lived closer.

Fantastic location, great views, flexible spacious accommodation and comfy beds. Next to the pub but no noise and the pub are very helpful for take away food or sit right outside to enjoy it.
