Really good value especialy for the size and facilities of a 2 bedroom property
A surprisingly nice end property on an old farm, possibly stables in the past. There were about 10 properties in a 3 sided square with parking and gardens in between, some were for rent but many others were lived in. We were able to park the car easily at the bottom of the road. The area was very, very quiet. Nearest supermarket and petrol station was about 15 mins walk away on easy resiential roads to the North, there was also a bar/cafe, a boulangerie/patisserie and a Pizza restaurant (Capri) around the supermarket. The walk into town was good exercise, if you go down to the Castle and bars you have to come up again to the High Town shops and, even from here it is then a further walk up to the property. Fougeres is a delightful town with lots and lots to see. The property was a single downstairs room with glass door and opening windows, kitchen was fully equiped and it came with dining table and 4 chairs, a sofa and coffee table. Upstairs the property was much larger, a fully equiped bathroom with excellent shower, a 2nd bedroom with large window, and an enormous main bedroom and very large bed with dual aspect windows - really useful in the heat. Everything was very clean and we had what we needed.
Stairs are steep but short but the upstairs rooms are worth the climb. Hadn't realised that the property whilst close to the town as the crow flies was away from the main top (or bottom of the town), though these were easily reachable. We were there in 35+ degree heat so the walking did get a bit tiring (or we are too unfit!).

Bonito lugar, pero nos faltó algo básico...
Lugar acogedor muy cerquita del castillo, en un entorno muy tranquilo.
No había ni jabón de manos ni ningún tipo de champú o gel para ducharnos (básico en cualquier alojamiento). Tuvimos que lavarnos las manos con jabón para lavar los platos e ir por la mañana a comprar gel de ducha.

Propreté du logement, agencement intérieur du logement, lits confortables. Calme du logement et situation dans Fougères parfaite.
Pour accéder au logement, rue assez étroite et pas de possibilité de se garer devant le logement mais un peu plus loin. C'est une difficulté quand on a un véhicule assez large. Un peu de savon liquide pour se laver les mains aurait été un plus.
