This is a beautiful apartment in a great location for exploring the medieval town of Fougeres and the castle. The apartment is comfortable, clean, well-equipped, spacious and tastefully decorated. The views are beautiful and calming. Free parking behind the property was also good.

Perfect place for a few days in Fougères

A very comfortable, well-appointed and well-equipped apartment with a fantastic view out over the town walls and beyond. Only a very short walk to the castle, and even less to an excellent creperie. Also a short walk up the hill back into town, very convenient.

The instructions on how to deal with recycling etc. were a bit confusing. It wasn't really clear what to put where. But this is only a minor quibble.

A wonderful apartment with a spectacular view of the Castle.

We loved this apartment. It was lovely and clean and very spacious. Fougeres was one of our favourite places to visit. The castle was amazing and the view from our apartment window looking out at this beautiful castle was priceless. Our family loved this town and we would love to come back for another visit.

The location of this beautifully styled apartment with views of the old town was unbelievable. Apartment was clean and comfortable with access to private parking. Martine our host made us feel very welcomed.

The perfect accomodation to enjoy the beauty of Fougères

+ One of the best properties I have ever stayed in. Just the view you get from the window is worth the deal and the owner will go beyond the mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome (Thanks a lot for the biscuits and the beers, dear Martine, it was a lovely touch!) + The property is located within the walled city and just next to the castle. The nearest grocery store is 10mins going uphill - a great exercise to burn some of the pastries you won’t be able to stay away from during your visit to Bretagne and its patisseries! + The property is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and all the items you have at home. Lots of board games and toys to keep your little minions entertained too! + Very comfy beds + Free parking next to the property + Direct access to the Val Nançon gardens + We fell in love with Fougéres (impossible not to) and so we will deffo come back and choose staying here again without second thoughts!

Amazing spot, beautiful place and nice owners.

I could not believe our luck to find such a pretty and perfectly located place. As you open the curtains you'll see one of the prettiest sights: an ancestral wall of a medieval castle. At noon you hear the medieval bells ringing... It's breathtaking. If you're a history buff, you can probably read about the importance of the river during sieges... And visit it, because it is just on the backyard. Everything is at a walking distance: amazing French bakery, supermarket, restaurants and the famous castle. I strongly recommend the quiche and cider that is made in the region (you can buy it at the supermarket). You can feel the love and dedication they put in the place. It's very clean and has a well equipped kitchen, including an oven, beautiful pots and pans, and more importantly coffee in pods. I'm a coffee lover and really appreciated having fresh espressos in the morning. I traveled with my 2 year old, who loved to play with the toys the owner left for us. She does not speak French, but read so many of the books. It was an incredibly generous detail. There's also a kid's playground, right on the other side of the wall... The owners offered us folders with information on what to do in the town and surrounding area. It's such an old school and beautiful detail, that you'll love every single thing they put in there, including old newspaper articles. They also gave us very clear instructions on the premises. You can see the love and connection of the owners to the town, the region and life itself. You should stay here!

Superbe appartement, idéalement situé dans le cœur de la vieille ville ,à deux pas du château ,que l on aperçoit depuis le logement, 2 chambres séparées , très bonne literie,au calme, tout équipé,cuisine ,sdb,WC séparé, parking à l arrière,au top Et merci à madame Martine pour l accueil 🙂
