    Prime location. You can walk to many attractions. Good local food is also accesible by foot.

    The hotel is in good location in the middle of everything. However, if you have kids who would like to have fun by the pool, this hotel is not for you. The pool is lifeless and not charming. The breakfast is also very limited.

    Disappointing Stay – Room Condition and No Resolution We stayed at The George Penang by The Crest Collection for 3 nights, paid *** for a Governor Twin room. While the hotel is in a convenient location in George Town, our overall experience was disappointing. The condition of the room did not meet expectations for the price and category. There were visible stains and marks on the walls, and the room appeared worn and not well maintained. It did not reflect the quality shown in the hotel’s promotional photos. Although we raised our concerns during the stay, another room was offered but it was similar as the current one. No room change for betterment or upgrade was offered futher on . We had to continue staying in the same room for the entire 3 days, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the restroom was well maintained and with warm toilet seat was the best part of the room. Overall, the location is good, but the room condition and lack of resolution from the hotel made the stay unsatisfactory. Improvements in maintenance and customer service are needed to justify the price.
