It’s awesome that the property lived up to its listing—that’s always a relief. The closed pool is definitely a bummer though, especially if you were counting on a good swim. And deer everywhere? That’s like stepping into a real-life nature documentary! It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but for those who love the wilderness vibe, that sounds like paradise.

The house itself was nice - clean and well stocked, comfortable beds, bathrooms were fine if a bit small. However be aware of the parking situation - 2 cars only at the house and any other cars must be parked in an overflow lot which is almost a mile away (and at the bottom of the mountain so you'll be shuttling people back and forth). We had family staying in multiple places and had planned to make our rental the central gathering place but the parking was inconvenient for our group.
