About this house rental
Three Gulls & A Buoy is located at beautiful Holden Beach between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. National Geographic Traveler Magazine called Holden Beach one of the best family beaches in the country! Our beach is unique and special. Here, you can view both sunrises and sunsets on the Atlantic Ocean. We are also famous for shark's teeth & Sea Biscuits, a beautiful shell that frequently washes up on our beach. We have even provided sand sifters and buckets to use for collecting.
Our home is a 5-minute walk to the pier (beach access) and has a General Store and ice cream shop just across the street. Haley’s Ice Cream (2-min. walk) is another beach access & a great place to enjoy a cold treat while watching the waves.
With ocean views and a beautiful, active marsh in the backyard, this home is a great place to relax. There is a large picnic table and plenty of other seating downstairs.
We have lots and books, games, puzzles and toys to enjoy. You can’t beat this kitchen! You won’t find one better stocked. From air-frying to cupcakes- we’ve got you covered. If you’d rather eat out, we’ve tried everything and will leave you a list with our recommendations.
Consider enjoying your morning coffee on the back covered porch overlooking the marsh or downstairs on the comfy outdoor sofa. We’ve provided a variety of coffees and teas for you to try. We will also leave you a list of coffee and sweet shops with our recommendations.
With the Atlantic Ocean to lull you to sleep, you’ll find no better spot than our luxurious beds, carefully designed for comfort.
Our family loves the North Carolina coastline. We are five-generation North Carolinians who have grown up exploring our beautiful beaches, each with its own style. We want to share our love of all things sandy and salty with you and hope you feel at home away from home from arrival to departure.

We enjoyed our stay! Great location, with peaceful marsh views and ocean views, and just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked, though you’ll need to bring supplies like dish soap, a sponge, and trash bags. You’ll also need to put the sheets on the beds - not a big deal, just something to be aware of! The house is great for families, our little ones enjoyed all of the books and toys. Very nicely decorated as well. We’d recommend to others and would return!

This house is conveniently located and the set up is perfect for beach time fun! It's clean and well stocked. Angela, the host, was exceptional with communication and helpfulness. We will definitely consider stay here again and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our family visited Holden Beach for a long Labor Day weekend! The home, and all its amenities, was perfect for our family of four. The home was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, including spices, and the views were absolutely beautiful! Our first day we accessed the beach via the pier, however, we found closer access between the Sand Peddler and the General Store. We also found the General Store to be well stocked with grocery items. Highly recommended 3 Gulls & a Buoy for your family vacation.

We stayed only two nights but it was fantastic! The house is located a short walk to the beach (we brought our 1 year old and 3 year old so we wanted to be close so we wouldn't need the stroller).The house and property were extremely clean and fully stocked with anything you'd need. They had tons of games and coloring books/crayons for our 3 kids. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was making or own beds. We arrived later than desired due to work obligations and our kids were ready for bed when we arrived so it was difficult making beds with crying toddlers. Not a knock on the owner because any other time I wouldn't have minded but just make sure you don't do what I did and push your kids past their limit on check-in day haha. The beds were comfortable. I love ceiling fans in the bedroom. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for having us!
