About this house rental
Experience the river life of Camanche with this completely remodeled 100 year old two story home on the Mississippi. Small house that feels large with lots of seating areas to relax and read a book or take a cat nap. This house has panoramic views up and down the river with a completely new kitchen and new bathrooms. Enjoy the sunrise over the river with all new windows across the backside of the house. Bring your boat as the public boat dock is adjacent to the property or just enjoy watching the boat traffic go by and waving to the friendly boaters. The house is in a perfect location on 1st Street near small parks and the public library and dock. There is a large front porch on the street side where you can sit and watch the many walkers and runners using the bike path.
On the river side of the house there is an open back yard with a picnic table and a small fire pit for fires. The house is also within walking distance to a nearby pub with coffee shops and convenience stores seven short blocks away. This is a house for all seasons! Great for families or group gatherings.

This is the second year staying at the River House for graduation weekends. The house was a perfect spot for family and friends to gather when not at other functions. The kitchen is easy to work in and great for serving meals rather than going out. It is on the banks of the Mississippi River and has great views. Some of our party went fishing. There's a nice fire ring that we used for relaxing and s'mores. We highly recommend it.

We would definitely stay again. The house is comfortable, and the view of the river is so pretty and peaceful. The covered side porch and back yard patio provide great spaces to sit and enjoy relaxing outside. Karlee responded very quickly if I had any questions. It was a vacation experience staying at the RiverHouse!

The house was beautiful and the views were the best. We also rented the house right down the street so all our out of town and out of state families coming in town for our father’s funeral could be all together and it worked out perfectly.

Couch was so uncomfortable as were the beds. Inside does need some work. Other than that, what we expected.
