Worst apartment on booking.com
Nothing,.once I arrived and couldn't get in after waiting an hour for the host to get back to me they told me that they had double booked on new years eve and they had to cancel my booking..
I liked the fact that the host ignored my phone calls and messages and left me hanging, then told me that I had to contact booking.com myself to get a refund.
Absolute rubbish part of town, and to be honest from the outside it looked grubby and is located in a high drug related area.

Basic accommodation suitable for one person who is not self catering, and is on a budget.
The property was in a good location, although the road is a little run down. Everything in the room worked and was reasonably comfortable.
It was very difficult finding the property- it is not marked Lincoln Suites or 30c Lincoln Road. There is no TV which is highly unusual I though the property description said TV but I may be mistaken, it did definitely say it had a kitchen within the room which is not true, however- all cooking has to be done in the communal kitchen, the problem with this is there are practically no utensils and only 2 frying pans- a saucepan turned up after my initial review, but we had to buy a wooden spoon ,bowls, and cutlery in order to self cater- this is not normal in a property which claims to have a kitchen. Even a takeaway would have been difficult if it didn't have disposable cutlery. The carpet is pale grey, which was a poor choice because it is very badly stained.

Urine all over toilet rim, suspected used sheets!! Look for somewhere else.
Great location. Big room. Comfy bed. Fridge in room (but no kettle!). Free parking. Could have been lovely if clean.
Dirty. Someone else’s urine under the toilet seat all round the rim. I’m pretty sure the bedding had been used by someone else too (not crisp and had hair on it). We went and bought a complete new bedding set and sheets. Pillows were yellow stained and smelt of other people’s sweat and grease.

Not as advertised
Close vicinity to the Railway Station and the centre of town
Lack of advertised facilities in room - no kettle, no toaster, no microwave. When I messaged the owner about this I was told we could use the communal kitchen on the premises.
Although a room for 2, there was only 1 fork and 1 mug (2 of everything else)
There were 2 towels, one the size of a hand towel and 1 the size of a bathmat.
One roll of toilet paper (no spares) for 7 nights.
No teatowel, although expected to wash dishes.
Liquid hand soap in bathroom and dishwasher liquid each only had 3cm in the bottom.

Broken into part demolished car outside, filthy/stained carpets and furniture, bedroom backed onto a communal kitchen. No curtain over french window - only frosted glass - in the middle of summer means waking up at dawn

Smashed up car outside?
Every day the person who was directly above was extremely loud and especially at night time they would be up and down the stairs being very loud turning their car on and going somewhere with very loud music too and they just kept going up and down all early hours of the morning and it seemed like more people was joining them too

Miss sold as a deluxe suite extremely dissappointing

This deluxe suite I thought I had booked was miss sold its a dump the picture with the kitchenette with microwave,kettle,toaster is false there was no appliances there was a communal kitchen housing an electric scooter charging ,a thilty oven ,and cooker hob ,on entering our deluxe suite there was a strong smell of bleach the carpet had been washed in bleach it made our eyes water it did eventually decrease but was replaced with the smell of cannabis,we know it was bleached cos it bleached a pair of my husbands shorts and a tshirt he dropped. The 2 towels on the bed looked like they had been used to wipe the floor ,the smoke alarm kept doing a high pitched bleep every 10 minutes in the end my husband took it of the ceiling wrapped it in the dirty towels and pit in a cupboard to dull the sound so we could sleep which left us very vulnerable if a fire had broke out this was reported 2 hours after we arrived but nothing was done ,the tv had a smashed screen and no remote it couldt be watched, there was cobwebs ,scuffed dirty walls ,outside there was a smashed up Audi which people kept going into ?,chairs outside the front door with a selection of beer bottles,cans,cigarette buts and rubbish ,The suite booked for 2 adults there was 1fork ,1knife ,an odd assortment of bowls and plates and a mug and glasses the glasses were dirty and the rim on one was chipped, there was no plug for either sink .I did voice my disappointment and concerns but to know avail ,I specifically booked this place because of the location we arrived on a Mon my husband left early tue morning to go have serious surgery at the fitzwilliam hospital I do not drive so wanted to be near queensgate bus station and a taxi office which it was it was a brilliant location but the state of the place just caused me stress and anxiety especially more so with me being there alone for 3 nights.

The apartments are beautiful according to the pictures, but very used up.
Dirty, disappointing, unacceptable, LIARS
After a long journey, we arrived at the apartment expecting to finally rest. But as soon as we opened the door, we were shocked. The first thing that happened — we tripped over dirty towels left on the floor. But that was just the beginning.
In front of us was a messy and unmade bed, clearly used and not cleaned. This was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the listing claims that “cleanliness is a top priority.” The place smelled bad, the trash bin was full and left untouched, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages.
Thankfully, we contacted the host, and someone came to clean the apartment. We were also promised a refund on the day of check-out. However, as of now, we still haven’t received any money back.
We were honestly disgusted and very disappointed. Definitely not what we expected.

RATS Everywhere!!
Arrival and code check in was well communicated.
The major problem with my stay was the rats. It made my stay very uncomfortable. I stayed for two nights and in that period came across a rat on 5 occasions.
I left the property at around 10pm on my first evening and on returning a rat ran across the accomamadation forecourt and into the Rubble that has been dumped outside. This includes an old mattress , wooden cupboards and just general waste which is partly while rats have been attracted to the property. Filthy.
I wanted to give the property he benefit of the doubt, as the location is very central to the city and it could have been just an unlucky situation.
In the morning I left for work and again I experienced a rat run into the rubble and rubbish left in the car park, I approached the dirty area and lifted the mattress and the rat ran under my feet into some green bush area across the way.
I returned back from work early evening, and then did some investigating and it was clear that the premises has rats living there and has done for some time. This isn’t just one rat , it is a serious pest problem. They have gaps in cavity walls which the rats are breeding in , they have positioned a rat bait catcher near the entrance to the hole , so they are fully aware they have rats.
The outside of the building is filthy and has large amounts of rubble dumped this provides perfect hibernation safe places for the rats, what I can’t quite understand is why they know they have rats they haven’t made an effort to clean the area. Rats carry diseases are a danger to adults and especially young children and instead of sorting the major issue the property is keep been letter out.
My final meeting with a rat was on my departure at around 11am as it was proudly sat on top of all the rubble dumped outside , rats are nocturnal pests and to be seen in daylight is rare, and can signify far greater problem.
I will expect a full refund for my stay as this is quite unacceptable. I have engaged over WhatsApp.

Here’s my experience: I was placed in a room where the heating system had been deliberately disabled to save electricity. No alternative heating was provided, and the portable heater in the room didn’t work. To make matters worse, the door had a large hole letting freezing air in. That night, the temperature dropped to -5°C. I tried reaching the contact person multiple times, but they ignored all my calls and messages. Desperate to stay warm, I spent most of the night in my car.
After requesting a refund, I was moved to another room for my second night, but the situation didn’t improve. The bedding hadn’t been changed since the previous guest there were dirty stains, a used cotton bud on the bed, and a strong, offensive perfume smell. The toilet hadn’t been flushed, and the light went out for over five hours, leaving the room freezing again. To top it all off, someone knocked on my door at 3 a.m., which made me feel incredibly unsafe.
This place is not only unhygienic but also unsafe. I strongly advise against booking here. Stay away!
