Beautiful 2Bed Apt by Hyde Park

Very clean and fresh. Location is really good and close to underground. Area feel safe. Host is available and answers questions via Booking app without delay, felt welcome

We had some issues regarding number of children included in the booking. Resolved by Booking later but check before you leave home to avoid paying extra

Good location close to transport options, 5 minutes walk to the tube. A number of restaurants within that distance too. Two rooms and one sleeping area in the living room were good. Kitchen was large and we could have cooked basic meals if we wanted to. Washing machine dryer combo was very useful. Host was helpful in explaining the heating system and how to turn it down on arrival. Nice sunlit living room. Apartment at the top of the stairs meant we had a area to store shoes outside the apartment. Master bed had USB charging points at bedside table. Main beds and linen was generally clean. 6 star rating as it was just OK without being anything more.

Wardrobe sliding doors were knocked off the hinges, didnt slide nicely and had to be lifted back onto the tracks. Curtain hooks were dislodged, found 4 on the ground and had to rehang the central part of the curtains to effectively block the morning light. Fold out couch which was requested as a 5th sleeping bed was not prepared with linens (we had to call the host who directed us to a store of linen in a wardrobe) and when unfolded was found to have crumbs and debris which needed to be vacuumed. Vacuum was in the store room. The dining table and chairs were poorly assembled, one chair was missing 2 out of 4 screws and was a pinch hazard whilst adjusting your seat. These just needed to be tightened. Seems that a little maintenance is required to pull this apartment up to a higher standard. If it wasnt for these inconveniances, it would have been much more enjoyable to stay here.
