Town: Bontnewydd is a scattered rural hamlet situated on the banks of the River Wnion, in the heart of southern Snowdonia, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of wooded hills and mountains. The wonderful Cader Idris Mountain Range and Coed Y Brenin Forest Park, which provide some of the best mountain biking in Europe, are both nearby, while relaxing days out on the soft sandy beaches of Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovey are within easy reach. The nearby town of Dolgellau offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there are excellent restaurants in many of the nearby coastal resorts. A location for quiet outdoor recreation with superb scenery, mountains, forests, waterfalls, castles and beaches all close to hand!
