About this apartment rental
Enjoy your morning cup of coffee with the best view of the Pacific Coast! This corner unit is your home away from home. Located on beautiful Dana Point, this condo is nestled directly above Strands Beach and across the street from the Headlands Conservation Area. The South Strands Beach access is just steps away and the Headlands Open Space trailhead is right at the end of the street and offers amazing views and a nature interpretive center. The sandy beach below even has a raised walkway in the event of king tides and is protected by seasonal lifeguards. In addition we have a lovely heated pool on the common area with plenty of seating and a BBQ grill. The headlands trails also provide access to Del Prado and the downtown area with lots of great shops and restaurants. When you're ready to relax but still want to indulge in that lovely ocean breeze, head inside your retreat where carefully curated decorations adorn every room including works by local artists and historic surf & paddle memorabilia. Sit on the living room sofa or love seat while tuning into a movie on the large TV and enjoy the whitewater views. Open the doors to the private balcony and feel the radiant California sunshine kiss your skin. And reach for the binoculars to watch the surfers below or catch a glimpse of marine life offshore. The well-equipped kitchen is sun-soaked with its large window allowing ample natural light in. Cook amongst the stainless steel appliances and tiled countertops in this space before serving your culinary creations at the adjacent dining table, or alfresco on the balcony. The second bedroom features two twin beds and a wall mounted TV (for longer term guests we can convert this into an office with a sectional sleeper sofa and a desk and office chair). Before bed, soak in the tub or rinse off in the shower, then tuck under the plush linens in the bedroom, ready to dream about another day in paradise!

Our 10 year anniversary stay was beyond our greatest expectations! The view and location were both even better than the photos, we were also attending a weekend long wedding and made it to all events with absolutely no traffic hassle. The building is one of the few nestled at the very end of the street with the headlands directly across (beautiful view from the master bedroom!) so it felt private but not isolated. Because the beach access is just steps away (incredible!) there are a lot of people parking on the street and walking down the sidewalk, but it still felt like such a safe area. We loved that once you enter the private locked gate, you felt as though you were the only ones there. Just a few other condos that share the pool but every time we were out there we had it to ourselves. The entire condo was immaculately clean and so comfy. It had everything we needed, including the most beautiful sunset views I’ve ever encountered. The best part though? THE OWNER, CHRIS! What an awesome dude to talk to and hear about all of his adventures. He briefly checked in on us to see if we needed anything and we so appreciated that extra personal touch. No A/C? No problem. The giant fan in the master bedroom kept us super chilly at night to sleep so comfortably. I cannot stress enough that you should book this place immediately. It truly was the best beach experience I’ve ever encountered. We will be back 1000% and want to make this an annual thing.

Fantastic place, it is clean, comfortable, and as advertised on here. The view is incredible, and that stretch of beach speaks for itself. The owner, Chris, was easy to communicate with and very responsive to anything we might want or need. I can’t wait to return.
