The house is located on the edge of the forest in Gunzenhausen. It features a large garden (750 square meters) with a play area, a swing, and a sandbox for the little ones. For the adults, there is a portable grill, a brick grill, and several seating areas and deck chairs. It’s less than 10 minutes to Lake Altmühl and Lake Brombach, and 5 minutes by car to the historic town center of Gunzenhausen. It’s less than a 15-minute walk to the Waldbad via the Burgstall. It’s about a 30-minute walk through the Burgstall Forest to the glider airfield. The city of Gunzenhausen operates a beautiful outdoor pool with a giant slide and a large swimming pool, as well as a modern indoor pool with a sauna area. Gunzenhausen also has a small airfield for sport and glider aircraft. There, you can book sightseeing flights over the Franconian Lake District. If you prefer to keep your feet on solid ground, you can explore Altmühlfranken on numerous hiking trails or Nordic walking routes. In the forest and along Lake Altmühl, you’ll find beautiful routes for jogging or simply taking a leisurely stroll. The Franconian Lake District is known for its very well-developed bike paths. Here, hundreds of kilometers of trails are available for your tours. You can charge your e-bikes in our carport. You’ll be staying in a spacious and luxuriously furnished apartment (94 square meters) on the first floor—which features a large, sunny terrace with a barbecue area—and on the first floor. The fully furnished apartment features a living room with a TV, stereo system, DVD player, sofa and armchair set, and a wood-burning stove; a dining room; a fully equipped built-in kitchen with a dishwasher; 2 bedrooms; 1 bathroom with natural light (shower/sink/toilet), 1 guest restroom, 2 storage rooms, and a wellness area (sauna/shower/relaxation area), as well as a washing machine and dryer. Of course, you’re welcome to enjoy the garden. For our younger guests, there’s a swing and a sandbox, and for the very youngest, a crib, a high chair, and a stair gate are available. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Keys will be handed over in person on-site. Pets are allowed upon request. A crib or rollaway bed can be provided upon request (free of charge). The visitor’s tax of 2.00 EUR per adult per night will be charged additionally on-site. Included in the base price: washing machines and dryers, bed linens, towels, final cleaning, Wi-Fi, use of the sauna, and firewood for the wood-burning stove. After written confirmation of the reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total rental price is due within 14 days of receiving the reservation confirmation. The remaining balance must be paid by bank transfer 1 week before arrival.
