We travel for 8 months of the year so our comments are constructive -
The apartment is spacious and in a great location directly behind the Conrad super market and close to the centre -
we got the bus from marina di campo - early access and the apartment was empty and thats was great
however our stay was interrupted by multiple issues -
the agency communications were excellent on WhatsApp and we had two visits - one to connect a extension lead and another from an electrician to check electrics
We had stayed in another agents apartment previous and was met by the owner and no issues experienced
Our security deposit was carried over from previous apartment & returned same day we vacated this apartment
A charge of €20pp for linens & towels -plus a security deposit of €200 euro against damage.
Information around linen and key collection confusing - the agency push out a standard generic message which is not accurate - this info is only available after the booking is made and paid for.
keys were left on a vase - linen and towels need to be paid for and collected from marina di campo office - which when your back packing and use public transport makes it difficult
- on arrival electrics did not work - fridge and wifi not working - fab in lounge not working
instructions on how to use gas - water and electrics hidden in the booking. Com info and you tube videos only available in Italian - ( suggest it’s available for non Italian speaking guests)
We left keys twice so access available to maintenance team
All these issues could be avoided if the cleaning staff or people checking the Aoartment had a check list and instructions we left in hard copy in the Aoartment -
There are instructions available but take some finding in the booking.com messages
The hosts must be remote and rely on the agents & in our experience these issues should be avoidable
The apartment needs more attention to these issues in order to make guests stays trouble free
