The villa is absolutely stunning, ideally located right by the sea. It offers breathtaking views from every window and features a perfectly equipped kitchen. We truly enjoyed our stay, even though we spent only three nights there and the weather was slightly rough during our visit. Chania’s city center is just a few minutes away by car, while the area itself remains tranquil and peaceful. Hara, our host, was very hospitable and kindly welcomed us late in the evening. We also greatly appreciated the delicious refreshments and thoughtful goodies prepared for us upon arrival.

Hippocampo Villa is unbelievably amazing! The location is literally on the water, we slept with the sound of the ocean waves lapping against the rocks. There is a great restaurant right next door. Parking available! The pool is perfection, but the rooftop lounge area was my favorite. Beds were comfy, robes and slippers were in each room which I loved. The host met us at the property to explain how to use everything and was soooo welcoming.
I wish we stayed longer!

This property is amazing! It is right, and I mean right, on the shoreline. I had the most incredible sleep listening to the waves at night. The unit is private, decorated beautifully and comfortably. It is stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, if you want to eat in. It is a 20-25 minutes stroll into Old Town Chania, which is a wonderful way to get some exercise. It was the perfect size for a group of four to six people. The icing on the cake must be noted and that is Hara, the host. I have rented many properties around the world and I have never felt so well taken care of. Pre-arrival she was quick to respond to inquiries and gave us ample advice on restaurants and points of interest. She met us at the property, went over everything and left us a wonderful welcome treat. She checked in while we were there and was quick to respond to any questions. I would 100% recommend this property and would stay here again should I return to Chania. Bonus…the restaurant nextdoor, Periplous is fabulous!

Hara was an wondeful host, being very helpful when our flight was significantly delayed, and she had stocked the property fresh food and drinks which was an incredibly great start for weary travelers. The villa is amazing, being right on the water just as advertised, beautifully clean, airconditioned and modern - the sound of the sea and the view from the bedrooms is amazing. Our family of 8 were very comfortable. The sheltered courtyard pool and upper sun deck overlooking the coast were an added bonus that we very much made use of. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped as well to make meals at home if needed. Overall this villa was incredibly restful and an excellent base to explore Chania and its surrounds - one of the best properties we have ever stayed at.
There wasn't really anything to dislike about this villa, we all would love to come back again soon. However you do need to know that there is a bit of a walk into the main town/port, but it's pretty flat and actually a beautiful experience in itself.
