杜人舎 Morito-Sha

What a wonderful place! I am very happy that I was able to spend two nights at Morito-Sha. I felt comfortable there from the moment I arrived. The room is very minimalist and elegant. It is worth noting that you have access to a private bathroom, while the toilets are shared. However, I can assure you that they are extremely clean so there is absolutely no issue with that. I would like to thank the staff for their warm and welcoming hospitality. In particular, the young woman (I’m sorry, I didn’t catch her name) who helped me carry my suitcase to the bus stop, as well as the lady who speaks French and kindly prepared a quick breakfast for me to take on the bus because I didn’t have time to eat before leaving. Speaking of the bus, there is a bus stop only a 5 min walk from the property. From there, you can easily visit the beautiful villages of Ainokura and Suganuma (less touristy than Shirakawa-go, but just as beautiful!). I hope to come back one day. Thank you! ❤️

The hotel has an incredible beautiful interior design, minimalistic Japanese design mixed with traditional design. As a design lover it was just a pleasure to stay here.

There has been nothing I didn’t like!

The most amazing experience we had in Japan! The place is unique. It’s not just a hotel, you can feel its philosophy in every detail. The interiors are highly curated. The temple nearby is a true gem. Dinners at the hotel were the gastronomical highlight of the trip. As well as the hospitality of the hosts, truly nice people. Can’t recommend enough!

Ein ganz besonderes Hotelerlebnis in einem einzigartigen Haus, wunderschön, entspannend und inspirierend. Der Empfang und die Betreuung durch den Inhaber und die Angestellten war herausragend und extrem herzlich, Es wurde sich mit großer Fürsorge um uns gekümmert, Restaurant Reservierungen gemacht, Speisekarten übersetzt, und sogar zum Bahnhof gefahren bei Abreise. Herzlichen Dank nochmals dafür!

Im Winter bei wunderbarem dicken Schnee war es etwas kühl im Frühstücksbereich, aber es gab auch Decken zum Warmhalten.
