Dorado at The Kabins by The Falls

Dorado cabin was large, clean and comfortable. Great for our family group that came. Close to town, beach area was close and nice to have fire pit.

Beach area is bit small.

This was a lovely spacious cottage house, newer appliances and enough plates, cutlery and cooking equipment was on site including a BBQ on the deck. Easy to prepare meals during our stay. Wifi, 2 TV's, some toys for younger kids. Really nice comfortable bedrooms! The town of Fenelon Falls had a Sobeys Grocery store and great shops in the downtown core, lovely restaurants and specialty shops all close to the canal where you can see the boats and tour ship travel and cross the locks! There were also bike rentals by the canal, benches and a Kawartha ice cream shop. Cameron Lake was steps away from the cottage house that we stayed in and the warm water was a sand bottom, pretty clear lake with trees for shade on the grass. Shallow entry and shallow for quite a way in, great for throwing a ball or frisbee around! The Cottage had 2 canoes & water boards for use plus a great fire pit area across from the one we stayed in. Neighbouring people were friendly, a nice quiet setting!

The sulphur smell from the taps and having to use bottled water to brush teeth and drink etc. was not a huge problem but we went through a lot of bottled water being a family of 8. Limited showers was difficult in a heatwave and then the water smell we didn't want to shower so thank goodness the lake water was warm lol.
