Opera & Harbour bridge view penthouse (3 rooms)

Grandiose Aussicht. Gute Lage für Sydney. Verkehrsgünstig gelegen. Nettes Viertel.

Keine Heizung (außer Standradiatoren). Das Bad war leider nicht nur veraltet, sondern hatte Warmwasserprobleme (bei 5 Personen die duschen wollen nicht unerheblich) und die Klobrille passt nicht zur Schüssel (so dass man bei Benutzung der Toilette den Klodeckel auf dem Rücken liegen hat). Geputzt wurde auch schon länger nicht mehr (Wollmäuse unter den Betten).

The location and view was out of this world. We absolutely loved this accommodation which is close to the ferry and the train station. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved our stay.

If you have heavy luggage and stairs, you may experience some challenges up the stairs. Locking the door was not that easy. There is a trick which we eventually figured out. The toilet seat needs some adjustment.

Absolutely perfect views, must be the best view in Sydney, just fantastic, the views really did look even better in person, outstanding…..

Views, views, views! The view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge are literally one of the greatest views I've ever seen and we got to sit there, with large windows that opened wide, to take it all in. Wow! Breathtaking and impressive. No pictures can do the view justice. In the description of the unit, it mentions having a balcony. Maybe the terminology is different in the US but this is an indoor extension to the main bedroom and living room that has a couple great little chair and table setups. But it is INDOORS with large opening windows. Location was GREAT! It was easy to get to the bridge to walk it or the train or the bus system. There are really cute eateries right up the street along with a liquor store and grocery. Plenty to do in the area.

One of the biggest issues we had was that there is nothing in the description about the amount of very steep and narrow stairs you need to climb to get to the unit. The unit is on the 3rd level. There was mention in the FAQ's about not having a lift. But nothing about how narrow and steep and how high up you need to climb to get to the unit. Carrying 50lb luggage up the stairs is quite a tough task. And if you have anyone who has a tough time with stairs, this is not the unit for you. There are even 3-4 stairs inside the unit going from the entrance to the bathroom and kitchen area. The appliances are very slow. A load of laundry takes over 6 hours to wash and dry. It worked fine but we did not plan for that when leaving our laundry until our last day. The shower has AMAZING water pressure but it causes the hot water to go out after about 5 minutes (at least when we were there). So with 5 people, we had to spread out our showers quite a bit. The Main floor is spacious enough but the lower bathroom, kitchen and bedroom are very small and cramped. There is a smell of some sort of zoo animal in the hallways. It's not in the unit itself but one of the neighbors must have an animal that is leaving an odor in the halls. The internet was REALLY slow and it kept causing the TV to freeze every time we tried to watch something (like the World Cup). It was frustrating.
