No kettle in rooms. Shampoo and conditioner wasn’t refilled

Staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Breakfast was way better than expected. Room was comfortable.

Paying for parking, but I get it.

Excellent breakfast -- lots of food, plenty of seating and lots of staff working hard to keep the food, dishes, etc. available. Extremely well-managed hotel all around. Facility is new -- everything is clean and well designed in a modern, tasteful way. Hotel rooms are set up for the modern traveler - plenty of hooks, shelves, outlets, storage space, etc. Great HVAC and temperature controls and blackout blinds kept all light out. Room and overall hotel were very quiet yet there was a lively vibe.

No negatives.

I had planned to give these guys ten-out-of-ten. All went well initially. The rooms are lovely and new, the facilities are great and the staff were very welcoming.

It has been one week since we checked-out and Hilton still haven't returned the extra money they wrongfully charged us. I suspect that what happened is that the receptionist took a very hefty security deposit upon check-in, though we weren't advised about it at the time. (USD240 extra taken for a 2 night stay that cost USD276). We had already pre-paid for our stay in full days earlier. It has been a huge hassle getting our money back - communications are very lacking and unprofessional. We have also lost money in bank fees as we didn't realise at first that Hilton had taken the extra money. We ending up part paying for our groceries in foreign currency as the USD that we thought were loaded onto our account, had been taken. The breakfast is mostly highly processed/powdered foods. There are signs stuck everywhere to the walls and furniture asking for guests to tip the staff, saying how easy it is to do by app. It's pretty distasteful and highlights that the staff are likely underpaid. I would rather tip in person, as I'm not sure I trust this establishment to give the tips to the right people.
