The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

We loved our stay at this cottage. Perfect size for our family of four with three great sized bedrooms. The only thing I’d change is the back garden space as this didn’t feel an inviting space to sit in. Location is perfect, with the cottage situated 2minutes walk from the main high street. Plenty of fab places to eat or drink.

Great location, plenty of parking, nice decor. We did have an issue with the high chair being broken so was unable to use this

Very comfortable beds and sofa could do with fan or aircon in bedroom as extremely hot location was great and nice dog walks close by a tray in the kitchen would be useful for taking things into dining room

This was our first time in the Cotswolds and Ways End cottage is in a fantastic location behind the main centre of Stow on the Wold. It's a very comfortable little house with almost everything you need for a short holiday. The only criticism I could have is that there is no washing machine or bath. The water pressure in the shower isn't great but overall the cottage is very well appointed and our poodles loved the secure garden. The house is very clean also and the property manager is on call if needed.

A beautiful Cottage which had all we needed in a perfect location. The house was mostly clean and spotless ,however there were a lot of black dog hairs on the sofa which was not good for the 8month old baby, also it was hot weather and the upstairs of the house got very hot so might be worth providing a fan. Otherwise very good and we all enjoyed our stay Thankyou

The location was perfect. The beds and sofa were very, very comfortable. But, the property needs maintenance. All the blinds were covered with dust. The hoover didn't work as hoover bag full but no replacement could be found. I had to manually pull out all debris from existing bag in order to be able to hoover up (we have a dog so this needed to be done daily). Boiler lost pressure so no hot water until we got that sorted. No "guide book" of the property was supplied with helpful info eg what goes in which bins, when collection day was, useful phone numbers etc etc. There were marks all over skirting boards and cracks in walls/ceilings which just made house feel unloved. The bbq was nit fit for pupose, covered in rust (we had taken our own). The garden furniture was tired and the garden itself needed tending. Kitchen was lovely (shame no washing machine as then it would have been perfect) and the tv was great too.

Stow-on-the-Wold was such a wonderful getaway-after being in busy London! The house is adorable with so many amenities, outdoor space, nicely laid out and comfortable beds. Would highly recommend!

Ways End is a lovely house in a nice quiet location in Stow on the Wold. The house is clean and comfortable, with a great size outside space that gets the sun pretty much all day! Stow is a perfect base to explore the Cotswold. We visited Sezincote House, Sudeley Castle, Batsford Arboretum and the Cotswold wildlife park and had a fabulous time at all of them. The only slight negative was that that it was the Stow Horse Fair the week of our stay which meant that a lot of the local pubs and restaurants were closed due to the visiting gypsies. I didn’t even know this was an event, but it really didn’t impact our stay.
