About this cottage rental
Welcome to My Sister’s Cottage!
A peaceful retreat filled with natural light, directly on the western shore of all-sports Gun Lake.
While here, we hope to facilitate wonderful memories for you and your family + friends.
This is a year round home that can provide many opportunities for fun and relaxation in any season.
Michigan summers can’t be beat, but consider a color tour during autumn, ice skating or a ski trip to Bittersweet during winter, biking or fishing during the spring.
Life awaits.
The main floor offers an open floor plan and ample seating, with expansive floor to ceiling windows to view the lake from. Available are a washer & dryer, 2 full bathrooms (1 tub, 1 shower), 2 bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, dining room, and living room with TV.
The upstairs bedroom also offers a spectacular view, perfect for waking up to the sunrise. It is a large space that can fit a whole family, with black out curtains and many accommodations for children.
Outdoors, we have a large deck, dock with platform, a boat slip is available for use if you plan to bring your own boat or rent, 2 kayaks, 1 stand up paddle board, a 5 seater paddle boat, fishing supplies, lawn games, a tree swing, fire pit, gas grill, outdoor dining set, and many patio chairs.
Please let us know if you have plans to use the slip or need recommendations for rental boats.
We will provide various sizes of life jackets, tubes, and floats in the shed.
All outdoor equipment and watercrafts are only available seasonally (Memorial day through September).
All living space, dock, and storage shed is accessible to guests.
The garage is for maintenance and host supplies (no guest access).
We will always be available via text and are just a short drive away if something urgent arises.

Our family had a wonderful time on Gun Lake. Cottage is well equipped for family fun. Very clean and lots of room for kids to spread out. Owners were amazing and we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.
