The home was exactly as pictured. Beautifully decorated and comfortable for our group of 4. Staff was responsive to questions even before booking and assisted during stay without fail.
The location in Owls Head was within walking distance to Rockland and only minutes drive for groceries, supplies, restaurants, ports and access to US1. Convenient for hiking Battie Mt and the 5 mile trek on a quasi-trail to the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, as well as the Owls Head Lighthouse in the opposite direction. The Rockland Ferry is also only a few minutes drive to take you or car to nearby islands. Plan for driving time to the Arcadia National Park, about 2.5 hours away. But hiking Cadillac Mt and visiting Bar Harbor was worth it!
The property was quiet with view of the coastline over neighboring homes. Just a tranquil relaxing environment if you want to open windows and breathe in the ocean air. Equipped w/ AC but we didn't need it. No problems with wifi but spotty cell reception depending on the provider. Kitchen was equipped with the essentials making it a nice choice to prepare breakfast and other meals at home at the dining table. The only thing i didn't see was a big lobster pot, but Jess's Seafood will steam your selection for take out and they are so close the lobster was still steaming when we got it home.
For our first visit to Maine we thoroughly enjoyed the area and would highly recommend this home!
