Cozy lake house on Sabattus Pond 2 bed 1 Bath

The property had a beautiful view of the lake and was conveniently located for attending both the Moxi Festival and the Great Maine Airshow. The beds were comfortable and all the appliances worked well. There were many outdoor attributes like the gas grill and kayaks that we didnt take advantage of. The cabin is rustic and smelled musty upon arrival but did air out overnight. The host was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Our family of 6 ,3 adults and 3 children stayed 2 nights and 2 days . Had a great time . Yes the house is crooked and has a lot of stairs but it was fun and worth it . The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook right at the house, having a washer and dryer was a huge bonus . The pond was beautiful and having access so close was awesome ! We enjoyed sitting around the fire, kayaking, jumping off the dock and just truly having a fun family weekend . Auburn is close by and we easily found restaurants, a Walmart and gas stations . We can't wait to come back

Very cool lake cottage

The listing claims it sleeps 8 guests. But it only comfortably slept 2 adults and there were 4 of us. The attic ladder was difficult to climb and the attic was full of spider webs (and likely spiders). So we decided we would suck it up and share the bunk beds. There were no support slats underneath the mattresses and the plywood bowed underneath the weight of adults, so we felt very unsafe sleeping on them. So we decided to try the pullout sofa, but it wouldn't lay flat. Two of us shared the queen bed (which was fine), one ended up sleeping on a pile of blankets on the floor and the other on the couch. We had booked for 3 nights but left after the first night and booked another rental. Also, the power went out when it rained. We finally found the breaker box and were able to flip the switch. That being said, if you have a family with only 2 adults and young children this would probably be a great spot. The view was amazing.
