Our stay at the camp was truly wonderful. The Karp family was warm and welcoming, making sure we knew they were there if we needed anything while also giving us privacy to enjoy the space. The camp itself is exactly what you hope for in a classic Maine camp: clean, organized, and clearly cared for over the years. It has all the charming details that make a camp feel like a camp—finely crafted spider webs, wiggly screen doors, creaky floors, and the unmistakable feeling that it has been deeply cherished. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, with plenty of extra linens, blankets, and towels. The screened-in porch was a dream—a perfect place to let tired swimmers dry off, relax, and stay protected from those buggy Maine evenings. There were plenty of fans, a well-stocked kitchen, and everything we needed.A note for future guests: the walk down to the water is a true camp path and may be challenging for someone with mobility concerns. But the views are stunning, the swimming is wonderful, and well worth the walk down. While it may not be “luxury,” I think that word is wonderfully subjective. To us, luxury was quiet mornings on the water, stunning sunsets, peaceful nights, and the sound of loons calling. This was the perfect little getaway—a charming slice of Maine that was hard to leave. We can’t wait to save up more pennies so we can come back and experience this little piece of magic again. Thank you, Karp family, for sharing such a special place with us.

Spent a lot of time fishing the lake and caught plenty of fish. Cabin was nice and clean. Would definitely stay there again. Host was very helpful when asked for anything you need. Thank you.

Check in was very easy and the camp was clean. We loved the screened in porch. It was kind of steep getting to the water for us older folks and no ladder to get on the dock. Swimming area was great. We tried the grill on the porch as instructed but we ended up with smoke everywhere, suggest an area for grilling outside. Overall we had a wonderful time connecting with family and friends

Not bad. Not great. I think we were the first tenants of the season because no one had swept or cleaned. Very musty. Lotsa cobwebs. Tough swimming because of rocky bottom. Very steep path to water. Okay place just not worth what we paid. 3 stars.
