About this apartment rental
2 Blocks from the beach and a beach access, 1.5 blocks from Berts Market, 1 block from the local Pirate Park. Newly remodeled 1950's duplex, original oak hardwood floors, 2 large decks, one screened-in porch, updated and modern fully equipt kitchen, comfy beds, access to large deck off each bedroom. Oriental and 100% wool rugs, nothing synthetic used, only natural products used for cleaning. Best lit'l spot on the island to stay! Bring all your people and stay below in Irie on Erie A too!
The space
This is a duplex.
You’re upstairs so please, be kind to those below you.
The rooms are lovely with king beds, Organic mattresses, and one room has a closet. Both have dressers.
We host you with coffee from Dynamite Roasters from Black Mnt, NC, a French press and tea. We do not use disposable coffee makers. Bring if you need it. We have plenty of linens, towels, and beach towels as well as beach chairs!
We strive to make sure you have an exceptional experience!

You can use the outdoor shower located downstairs beside your steps (shared w/ Erie A, Fire pit (buy wood from Berts) -- there's a wood splitter & starter wood + a lighter there for you in the woodpile and under Cooper B. Help yourself. Directions for the Solo Stove are in your apartment on the fridge.

We have a VERY sensitive septic system: Nothing other than toilet paper in toilets (NO Tampons, wipes or pads!, NO shoes inside house, NO parties, NO loud music, PLEASE shower sand off outside shower (provided on-site) after beach time, tread lightly upstairs; rhere are guests downstairs, Read garbage disposal rules of what NOT to put down, use buttons to open and lower shades. Thank you!
Park straight in or at a diagonal. Not parallel. Do not park directly in front or Erie A, please.
On Folly: All tires have to be off the road and when parallel parking, park w/ the flow of traffic. They WILL give you a ticket!

Irie on Erie-B was the perfect spot for our family of 3. Our unit was impeccably curated with quality housewares, which you don't always find in a rental. Martia has nailed the bohemian minimalist aesthetic. I especially loved the blue glass drinking glasses, Japanese chefs knife and multi sized wooden cutting boards. My daughter loved playing Follyopoly and the comfy "kid sized" stool. Not only was there every comfort of home, but the location can't be beat. We were close enough to walk everywhere but still had quiet and peaceful nights on the deck. Emily had the unit in tip top shape when we arrived and was a sparkly gem of a human to chat with. She and Martia make a great team. We know if we come back to Folly where we'll be staying. Thank you both for sharing your gifts with us.

We could not have been happier with our choice to stay here! The location was close to the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The interior was cozy and comfortable and clean! We loved the carefully cultivated furnishings and the outdoor spaces, too! Five stars!

We've visited Folly each year since 2011, and have stayed at a variety of tourist homes there. Martia's place was by far our favorite. She has done a fabulous job in bringing an old place back to a new and fresh life. Truly deserves applause. She thought of everything -- from amenities to basics. We will be returning to Martia's place again for certain. Five stars!
