About this house rental
Beautiful period property with half an acre of secluded gardens. Views across the fields beyond add to the sense of seclusion, yet the edge of village location means you are within easy reach of the village shops and pubs, and just one mile from the harbour and beaches. With several extremely generously sized rooms, which have been comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated, Salt House is perfect for bringing families together for Cornish holidays on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula.
This is a substantial and dignified home, set within delightful established & secluded gardens and grounds. Inside, the large double bedrooms are well furnished and spacious. There are three large reception rooms, two of which have large TVs, board games, puzzles and books etc. The dining room can comfortably sit 10 guests around the dinner table. The kitchen is large and very well equipped and has a cosy nook for coffee and relaxing. There are generous hallways, high ceilings, and large, original sash windows which flood the rooms with light and offer scenic views across the garden and countryside beyond.
The garden itself has a trampoline, football net and plenty of space for garden games. There is an outdoor table & chairs and a bbq for al fresco dining. The back garden looks out towards the fields beyond and has established trees and shrubs, charming flower beds and traditional Cornish stone hedges. Relax in the hanging hammock chairs listening to the birds at sunset, followed by lighting up the fire bowl and toasting marshmallows.
Mullion is so well situated on the Lizard Peninsula. At Mullion Cove you can arrange coasteering, fishing boat trips, kayak & SUP hire. At Poldhu which is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk, you can book surf lessons, explore rock pools and refuel at Poldhu cafe. Just down the coast lies Kynance Cove which is renowned for its beauty. Beyond that is Lizard Point for breathtaking coastal walks and seal spotting. The East side of the Lizard is also in easy reach, and offers a slightly different coastal landscape; with Helford river and the surrounding inlets offering breathtaking natural and largely unspoilt beauty.
