2 bed coach house flat Hereford

The location, about 10 minutes drive from the city centre, was a very pleasant housing estate. The house faces a large green area with a play park. It was very quiet, with no noise from other neighbours. The living area was spacious, with a comfy corner sofa that was great for stretching out on. WiFi was very much appreciated.

Several details let this place down. There are 2 doors to the property. It was raining when we arrived, but the key provided in the key safe is for the door at the other side of the house from the car. I expected to find the other key on a hook inside for guests to use, but no. If only one key is to be available, it makes more sense for guests to have access to the house from the car. The main bedroom has no storage other than one modest bedside cabinet. Nowhere for clothes, other than within our cases under the bed. There is plenty of space for a chest of drawers in the alcove (shown in the photos) and another bedside cabinet (and light) would have been great. The mattress in this room is narrower than the frame (which squeaks alarmingly at every movement!) and the bedding was badly creased. The paper light shade was ripped. Again, see photos. We had only 2 towels provided, despite there being 3 of us. They smelled like they’d been put away damp. In the other bedroom, a huge bed fills almost the entire space, and again no storage except for a bedside cabinet that needed moving in order for the light flex to reach the socket. The oven and microwave worked well, and we appreciated the good-sized fridge freezer. Odd that only 2 bowls were provided. There were no side plates, which would have been very useful, and 2 of the dinner plates were badly chipped. There are bar stools for a ‘dining area’ but no breakfast bar, so nowhere for your knees! We ended up eating on our laps, which was fine but trays would be a nice touch here. In the bathroom, we had trouble turning off the hot tap. In short, we felt that this place has a ‘that’ll do’ attitude all over it. I haven’t written any of this to be mean, but simply to point out that a trip away from home should be relaxing and comfortable. I’m being realistic here, not talking luxury, but basics. It wouldn’t have taken much to make this a much better place for guests to enjoy.

I stay in Hereford every week so was good to find a house with a kitchen rather than a hotel for a change. Good comms ahead of arrival.

One night one of the neighbours parked two cars behind their garage blocking access for anyone else so had to find street parking elsewhere, so have not booked again. As others have said noisy uncomfortable bed, leaking tap in bathroom.

Good size with 2 bedrooms and living area, american style kitchen. Dree parking for obe car. Open park to the front. All basic necessities available during our stay.

A few details required attention due to lack of maintenance or not being replaced. A washing machine would be great.

Visiting family in Hereford so location v good. V clean. Warm and plenty of hot water

No towel and only 1 tea towel in kitchen area used the one for the bathroom until we went shopping. No safety mat for bath when in shower. No hanging space for any clothes in bedrooms or mattress covers, reception on tv very poor, but these are only small issues and this reflects in the price.

Great flat, perfect location for us. Warm and cosy. Very spacious with nice views over the park.

Access to the door behind the parking space would have been useful.

The inside is a bit ‘tired’ but for the price it was what we expected. The duvets could have been a bit thicker as it got cold the first night so we had to keep the heating on overnight which I don’t normally do.

Perfect stay for me and my 14 year old. Very clean with everything we needed and a bedroom each. We travel a lot and that's a treat. Rosa had mailed details of accessing the flat via a key safe and giving parking instructions. I don't drive. We got to Hereford train station, nipped across the road to the Morrisons supermarket for supplies and called a taxi that was £9 to get here. All good and didn't need to ask for anything. I'm sure if we needed to we could and would have. Molly, my daughter, would rather have been in the centre of town. I preferred being slightly out. Loved our stay. Bath and shower was another plus.

All good. I was on my own so didn't matter, but btw the big bed squeaks!

Nice quiet location, overall amount of space was good.

Overall, the standard of fittings and equipment was poor. More like what you'd expect in a student flat. Nowhere to hang things in bedrooms, no back door key, only 2 thin towels (no hand towels). Main bed was creaky and the mattress was thin. No bedside light in the other bedroom. The couch was grubby, too low and in poor condition. The bar stools didn't work as the island wasn't configured as a breakfast bar so the're was nowhere to eat at a table. There was more I could say ! The host needs to sort out the accommodation on offer.
