The property was okay. The location is great, very close to the metro station. There were a lot of nice local places to eat close by. It is also very well insulated, perfect for a winter stay.

Having said that it was very well insulated, we unfortunately went during summer time, when there was a heat wave in the whole of Europe. I overlooked the part where there is no AC which was on me. Hence, I can understand that there was no AC in the apartment. We were told that fans will be provided. Unfortunately, the fans provided were barely working. It made our nights unbearable to sleep because of the heat. We asked for a working fan but we were given the same thing.

Positives were the location. It was really well located as a base to see round Paris. 20 minute walk from gare du nord. Metro stations close. Lots of lovely places to eat within close walking distance. Also good for us was having the separate mezzanine floor with two separate beds for our teenager children. Most other places we searched for were sharing a sofa bed which we did not want. It was clean.

As other reviewers say it is very shabby, it really needs an update. Paint coming off the walls, kitchen kick backs missing, shower door not really working. The TV didn’t work. The pillows need replacing as these were just balls of lumpy fluff and very uncomfortable, we ended up using the sofa pillows to sleep on. The biggest negative was the noise from the courtyard outside, as other reviews have said it is very noisy. Especially a door to another apartment situated right next to the main bedroom window. This slams every time it’s used and kept us awake at night with people coming and going. The living space is very small for a family.
