Great location, ok value.

A great location and nice house. Well equipped for a short stay. Very easy to access Laon old town with its small streets and shops. Directly in front of the Cathedral.

One of the beds (Double bed on the ground floor) was very uncomfortable, combined with paper thin curtains and the street lamps outside made for a sleepless night. The fire alarm had been removed!

A perfect stopover.

An extremely tastefully furnished property in an amazing location. Really comfortable beds and cozy bedding. A really well equipped kitchen though we didn’t make full use of it as we were only there for a quick overnight stay en route to our home in the Alps.

Great location, very nice house, only for people with good mobility

Laon is a very charming medieval town. The house is in a fantastic location right next to the very impressive cathedral and the Christmas market. The house is beautifully decorated well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The top floor with two large double beds and a sofa is very cozy, and the living room / kitchen in the middle floor is very nice, too.

As others have commented (and we hence expected), the staircase is definitely not suitable for people with limited mobility. It's steep and narrow. The steps are old, some of them are broken and a little unstable. The toilet is indeed in the middle floor and has no hand wash basin and no window. The bathroom is on the ground floor, next to the bedroom with one large double bed.

A lovely stay

The location was fantastic, with the accommodation easy to access. There was ample parking nearby - with lots more a very short walk away in the Ramparts carpark. Communication with the hosts was virtual only, but this was no issue. They were kind and efficient in all support given before and during our stay. The town of Laon is lovely, from the right-on-your-doorstep location of the cathedral, through to all other aspects of the town. The accommodation itself is spread over three floors, with a bedroom on the ground floor, WC and living room/kitchen on 1st floor and large bedroom on the second floor. All fixtures and fittings were more than satisfactory and the furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was also clean, well-stocked for our needs and very user friendly. The lounge and kitchen are open plan and this area is spacious. Views of the cathedral from the windows were really lovely.

It is not a question of not liking, but just to advise - the staircases in the property are quite steep and spiraled. We found them fine to navigate, but if you have some difficulties with mobility this might be an issue. For most the stairs will be fine though.

For a visit to Laon and for it’s fabulous location, I would definitely recommend this property.

There was so much to like about this property. It was very clean and spacious. The location was wonderful with a spectacular view of Laon Cathedral. It was also easy to visit other historical places as well as enjoy the stunning surroundings from this location. It’s close to restaurants and shops and it was a joy to stay there.

Although not a problem for my family, the rooms are split over 3 floors with a staircase befitting its heritage therefore, it may be unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Great location, good host, worth the visit.

The location was superb, right net to Laon Cathedral. The view over the surrounding land from the area by the cathedral was excellent. Short walk to the old town square and plenty of bar and restaurants. All the rooms were a good size. Plenty of cutlery etc. in the kitchen are, with hob, oven microwave and fridge freezer.

There are two sets of quite steep stairs. One bedroom and the bathroom is on the ground floor, the lounge/ kitchen and the toilet are on the 1st floor and the 2nd bedroom (large) is on the 2nd floor. We wre fine, good excercise, but some may find them a little steep.

Uncomfortable and not clean

Apartment had a generally bad smell, there were dirty sheets left on the stairway up to the living room, the kitchen had old damp tea bags and the general state of repair was poor. The beds had plastic undersheets which were quite unpleasant and there were no bedside lights. Generally a pretty rubbish stay.

A great place to explore the old town of Laon and visit te cathedral

It was nicely decorated, clean and in a great location right next to the cathedral. Having coffee and tea was good. The beds were comfortable.

The toilet was on a different level from the bedrooms. The free parking was only from 6.00 pm till 9.00 am but there was free parking on a lower road very close.

De locatie is geweldig, ramen zijn goed geïsoleerd waardoor je de kathedraal wel ziet maar niet hoort.

Warm water is op een gegeven moment op. Gordijnen in de slaapkamer beneden zijn niet te doorschijnend met de lampen buiten

Belle découverte de la ville haute de Laon.

Maison de ville très bien située avec parkings à proximité ( certains en zone bleue sauf WE et jours fériés), en face de la Cathédrale et proche des lieux à visiter ( possibilité d'y aller à pied ).

Petit bémol : les 2 étages et un seul WC situé entre le 1er et le 2ème étage. ce qui peut handicaper des personnes âgées. Mais séjour très positif . On pourrait y retourner à l'occasion.

Logement plein de charme au coeur de la cité médiévale de Laon.

La maison est vraiment charmante, et bien équipée. Elle est très bien située: au pied de la cathédrale, au coeur de la ville médiévale et donc proche de restaurants et des monuments à visiter. Les échanges avec les hôtes sont rapides, agréables et précis. En Bref, un lieu idéal pour découvrir Laon et les alentours.

Bei der Maison Médiévale handelte es sich um eine wundervolle Unterkunft in traumhafter Lage, neben der Kathedrale von Laon. Es war alles sehr liebevoll und individuell eingerichtet. Auch das Parken des Autos in der Nähe war kein Problem.

Auf dem Platz neben der Kathedrale waren aktuell Bauarbeiten im Gange, da wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind, hat uns dies aber nicht weiter gestört.

Excellent emplacement mais le contact avec la conciergerie a été trés mauvais lors de mon séjour.

Emplacement exceptionnel, belle taille du logement, beaucoup de clarté.

"Conciergerie aux abonnés absents" ne permettant pas de résoudre le probléme de télévision, pas d'accés aux chaînes classiques, cela malgré 3 numéros de mobiles indiqués sur la réservation. L'escalier pour les accés aux 3 niveaux est étroit pour les plus handicapés.

L'appartement est grand et très bien situé. Il est de plus très propre. Un grand merci à la personne qui s'occupe du ménage qui de plus nous a très gentiment accueilli. Du café, du thé, de la confiture, du Nutella était à notre disposition. On sent que le propriétaire veut que l'on y passe un agréable moment.

Pas facile de se garer à proximité. Il y a certes des emplacements très proches, mais avec très peu de chance d'en trouver un libre. Mais il y a un parking gratuit et sans limite à moins de 10mn de marche (même avec les bagages)

Living ok Kamer op bovenste verdiep ok Slaapkamer op gelijkvloers ondermaats. Zelfs met gesloten gordijnen kan men van op de straat binnengluren. Er mocht wel wat meer douche gel aanwezig zijn. Ook handdoeken waren karig

La situación del WC en el primer piso se hace incómodo. La escalera de caracol por la noche es peligrosa. Los dueños no contestaron a las dudas que tenía sobre donde encontrar las llaves para entrar o como conseguir el disco azul para aparcar en la zona
