What you see in the photo, everything so clean and orderly, is a lie. The facilities you see in the description (gym, wifi) are also a lie. I still have one night left here but now that I received the review proposal I will do it right now. I'm a backpacker, but I think 80% of the hostels I've been to in my life offer a better stay than this 4 STAR hotel. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms and the only area that "works" is at the reception, although the signal is terrible and practically non-existent. I have never seen dirtier floors and tables than in this place. After walking barefoot for half an hour through my room, my feet were already black as if I had walked on the same street. Sheets with unpleasant stains (I know what type of fluid it is) do not provide more bedding than a single sheet. The phones in the rooms are for decoration because, of course, they don't work either. The disorganization of those who clean the rooms is evident. Breakfast is a very poor buffet, poorly served, repetitive and re-used (you have to see it with your own eyes). And for those who sleep early, forget: the party is a deafening racket until 11 at night and if your room is near the pool, you simply won't be able to sleep until after that time. I'm 25 years old and it bothered me, I couldn't imagine for older people what it should have been like. The outskirts of the hotel look like an abandoned area, as if it had been bombed. The gym seems like a bad joke: you walk in and literally everything is broken, you can use just the bars and weights. In short, an absurd quality-price and a standard that, compared to Europe, although the service and facilities in Egypt leave much to be desired, it is light years away. I hope I can sleep tonight. Wish me luck.

Sharm Cliff is a basic hotel in a prime location. Neither the facilities, staff or services warrant a rating of 4 stars. The location however is excellent for site-seeing, transport, shopping, restaurants and the beach, all located in comfortable walking distance to multiple city malls. This hotel is not so much no frills, just poor in quality and appearance at most I would rate it 2 stars for: Cleanliness Comfortability Staff * * Staff are polite but not very friendly. 1 star for: Facilities ** Quality and variety of food *** **Our bathroom was leaking when we arrived and had a foul adour and discoloured water. There doesn’t appear to be any designated smoking areas which can make it unpleasant for non smokers. **The pool water looked discoloured and the Sun loungers, furnishing and decor are dated and don’t look well maintained. **The wifi has limited reach in reception which means you can end up spending a lot of time there if you don’t have a local data connection. The hotel offers access to a private beach. The access is roughly 3 miles away and cannot be reached by foot. The nearest beach access to the hotel is in front of the neighbouring mall however is mainly private, belonging to other hotels who monitor strictly and public access to the beach is almost impossible unless you want to walk only and not rest, so not good if you’re travelling with kids and want to stop and build sand castles. Cleaners and maintenance are visible at the hotel however parts of the interior looks neglected and unkept; and parts of exterior look derelict. If you want somewhere to lay your head with no expectations then Sharm Cliff is great for a city stay. If you’re looking for a hotel with an experience then I wouldn’t recommend! I wrote about our experience on our last day, considering 2 stars, however Im disappointed to have come away with multiple bites. We didn’t use the pool, so I can only assume this is from the bedding! So on top of everything else I now have irritated skin!
