De goede centrale ligging voor uitstappen in de streek.

Alles was inorde.

The owner messaged us before and asked to text when we were half hour away. They then met us when we arrived, and showed us round the property and explained everything we needed to know. The property was bigger than expected, and had everything we needed for our stay. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and laundry liquid were provided, as well as soaps in the bathroom and toilet. There were lots of towels and tea towels, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking in. The garden is beautiful and huge! There was a pétanque court in the garden which we enjoyed using. The view from back is beautiful. The river is a short walk away, past a cemetery with Commonwealth war graves. There is a small supermarket about 5 minutes drive away in France, which stocked everything we needed. We visited to go to the Menin Gate to honour a family member, and the location was perfect for this type of trip. When we got home we had a lovely message from the hosts.

The stairs to the first floor where the two double bedrooms were are steep, and the tall people in our group found they had to duck to avoid hitting their heads! The stairs from the first floor to the twin room at the top are much steeper. This wasn't a massive problem but worth noting if you are bringing people with mobility issues or very young. Also the light switch to the top bedroom was at the bottom of the stairs, so a torch might be useful! There is no kettle, but there were two coffee machines and several coffee pods.

De zeer vriendelijke en hartelijke ontvangst. Mooi huis en zeer mooie tuin.

Jolie maison propre, aménagée avec goût et très bien équipée. Merci pour le charmant accueil.
