The location of the house was absolutely perfect! The covered patio was wonderful to have to give us some shade during the day and it was literally less than 300 steps to the beach. You could not ask for a better location. It was super quiet at night and watching the sun rise was amazing. The house had everything we needed and there was plenty of space for my family of four, my parents, and my brother. We had our dogs with us too. The owner was great at communicating with us the entire stay and answered our questions very quickly. He also sent a list of suggested items to bring which was really helpful.
The water does smell like iron/sulfur but that is a Surfside thing. The city water is like that and not much anyone can do about it. Make sure you have the key with you at all times. We ended up just leaving it on the patio during the day. Because the doorknob will lock on its own when it's turned a whole bunch. Not a big deal and the owner told us about it.
