Waverley is an excellent house for groups or families. There are plenty of bedrooms and all of them are clean and comfortable. Our group of 8 elderly gentlemen were all very happy with their rooms and the house in general with some of them saying they would consider returning to stay in the house with their families. The house is ideally situated at the top end of Lake Road which is very close to the town centre (quite a bit closer than it appears to be on Google Maps) and it has off road car parking for about 4 cars. The ground floor has a large, well equipped kitchen, a big dining room with a huge dining table, a big TV and a music player, and there's also a large lounge with comfy chairs and open fire and another big TV. The free standing copper bath on the top floor is impressive although I don't think any of our group actually used it. There's also a table tennis table in the basement which again we didn't use. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy our stay at Waverley and I'm sure we'd book it again if we return to Coniston.
The only thing that could be better for us would be the key arrangements. It's perhaps not an economic solution but key cards would be better for large groups like ours. Trying to make do with one key each for the front and back doors was not always easy. But to be fair that could be more about our age than the house!

Waverley was a beautiful old house with plenty of room for all 10 of us on our girls' weekend. The beds were really comfy. There was plenty of kitchen paraphernalia for all our needs, along with a great coffee machine.
The WiFi was good and quick enough for all of us.
The rooms were lovely and had some beautiful views. The robes were a lovely touch.
Best of all was the location, it was only a short walk into town, or to the lake. In all, we had a fabulous time, and I would definitely stay here again.
The parking instructions weren't super clear, so the cars were out on the road for the first night. Not a problem, just an observation.
I was sad there were no recycling facilities.
