Neighbor's Hotel 十日市

The place was extremely spacious and clean. Had a fridge. My dad said even if it was half the size it would still be 10/10. The host was very accommodating to my requests. I appreciated it.

Location was good, within walking distance of the main sites of Hiroshima . The apartment was spacious with a large living room/ kitchen diner and and seating area Beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Bathroom was small but adequate and the shower was powerful and easy to use. Of course the toilet was most efficient! The air conditioning was very welcome. The apartment was very clean.

Unfortunately, even though the apartment was very clean, there were a couple of tiny cockroaches that had snuck in , but they were easy to dispose of and the hosts were most apologetic and quick to respond. There was no shower curtain to stop the water from going everywhere.

The location was great for central Hiroshima and transport links. A great surprise was the USB-A plugs built into the tops of the bed heads, to do that all-important overnight phone charging! The ‘shelf’ they were built into effectively doubling as a bedside table for small items.

We got to the apartment a little early and maybe the cleaner didn’t quite have enough time to complete her job but the apartment smelt of fish. Liberal spraying of deodorant took care of most of that. Better blinds/curtains to darken the rooms at night would be much appreciated.

Overall, this is a good option for a stopover in Hiroshima. Next to 7/11 and the tram stop.

However, one of the rooms had a distinctly damp smell, and the other had a very noisy air conditioner, making it impossible to sleep or even just get some rest with it in the room.
